J-B Weld Light-Activated Superglue, Clear, 5g, 2-Pack

My favorite glue for 3D FDM printing. Sets quick with the included UV light. Don't tip the capped bottle over as it can leak and will sometimes glue the cap shut. The glue WILL cure without the light but will take a long time. Size is good but I have gone through about 6 bottles in the past year because I use it for everything, not just 3D Printing. I do a lot of small parts and this work perfectly every time. I also think it is easier to remove than regular super glue if you accidentally cure the glue on your fingers, which happens a lot for me.

Truly impressive adhesive. It cures "dry" to the touch in seconds. It has the right viscosity to stay in place while you cure it with the light. I have fixed many things that regular cyanoacrylate glue simply fails at. Seems expensive until you see how well it works. Caution the UV light will burn your skin in seconds if you are not very careful.

The stuff is really great. I do a lot of 3D printing and sometimes while pulling off the supports it breaks delicate parts of the print. This works really good because I'm able to quickly fix it by using the UV light to cure it almost immediately. It also helps me set pieces so I can repair them cosmetically. I had a shelf day printed out for an Ikea skadis bored and one of the clips that attach it to the board broke off. Not only was able to fix it right away but I also build it up around the edges and I think it's stronger than the original print. The only thing I've noticed is that the cap tends to get stuck on so make sure you clean it off very well before you put everything back together for storage. Take your time is almost immediate. If you pay close attention to it you can see that it actually starts to smoke a little bit or a vapor releases and the adhesive shrinks a tad. That's when you know that the curing is complete.

This stuff is absolutely miraculous. it dries as clear and as hard as glass. This is not an exaggeration! Things that have formerly been impossible to repair such as smooth, non-porous surfaces, extremely delicate spots that bear a great deal of weight or torque, crystal or glass, ceramics, porcelain, top-heavy items, delicate jewelry, etc. can be repaired in a few seconds with an absolutely flawless result. The glue cures perfectly clear. It is liquid, very slightly viscous, and cures within seconds of being illuminated with the included UV light. I have even glued necklace chains back together with a minuscule drop of the glue. The repair is nearly invisible and is not noticeable. It does take skill and patience to do extremely delicate repairs. The glue is not going to take a hack job and make it beautiful. But these types of repairs were formerly inaccessible to the majority of people without specialized experience and equipment. Broken costume or semi-precious jewelry that’s been sitting around for sentimental reasons can now be resurrected. I have even used this glue for exterior car repairs. And it held up for that, too! The one thing I have to critique. And it is a major critique: there has to be a better way to dispense and/or store the glue so that the cap cannot become adhered to the tube. I have had to discard several tubes of the glue that were partially full because the cap had become permanently affixed to the tube, despite every precaution I had taken to prevent this, knowing it was an issue in the past. Being able to repair broken items makes it worth buying another tube, but it would be much less frustrating and expensive if the manufacturer could fix this design flaw.

Read the instructions first! While it's only needs to be exposed to UV light for a few seconds to cure enough that you don't have to hold it, it needs 24 hours to cure completely! Wish I had known that when I bought it to repair an eyeglass frame that broke. That said, it seems to work well. The only real issue I had with it is that the switch which turns the UV light on and off was extremely tight and difficult to operate. It loosened up over time. Like any cyanoacrylate glue, The Joint that this glue creates is fairly strong, but also fairly brittle. Not really for use in high stress situations.

Very handy liquid glue with accompanying blue light (which hardens the glue) on the other end. Saves hunting for the elusive light which is never where I put it last. This glue is easy to apply; the setting is quick; and the resulting bond strength is good

This stuff really works and is significantly stronger than regular super glue. I especially like the fact that it doesn't solidify/harden until it is exposed to the UV light. This also allows time to wipe off any excess or to correctly position before it's bonded. The only draw back..., definitely use in a WELL VENTILATED area and not directly under the nose as it releases smoke vapor fumes that can easily irritate the sinuses.

Worked great! My problem was there was a missing piece off the item I bought it to fix. I didn't notice it until I glued the major split in the plastic, about 20 inches. The part that holds the plastic item up, I cannot find, so I wasted half a tube of this. But it did dry really quickly with the light, was easy to use, and held the plastic together extremely well, probably stronger after the repair than before it broke.
