I went from the Vortex bino/range finder cases that came with my Vortex’s to the small and added the hand muff, small zipper pouch to go opposite the range finder pouch, and the underside zipper pouch. They’re worlds apart, this is significantly quieter, has accessory options as I mentioned above and is comfortable for all day hunts in both early and late season hunts. I gave it 4 stars for four reasons: 1) Adding the hand muff pouch below the zipper pouch is easy but the hand muff pouch unbuttons easily, the zipper pouch needs the same Molle webbing as the bino pouch. 2) The zipper pouch that I previously mentioned is kidney shaped and doesn’t hold a phone or calls well, the bino pouch is advertised as being able to hold a phone between your chest and the binoculars but it’s a tight squeeze, for reference I’m athletic and former military and like to wear my rig like I did during the GWOT. 3) Vortex, please! Add an option for a hydration bladder for the back straps! Like a Camelback, if I had that and the zipper pouch be a scosche larger then I wouldn’t need to carry my small Camelback, this would be a one and done rig. This is my absolute biggest issue and would appreciate if you could make this a reality!! 4) I hunt alone a fair amount and it would be great to have an option to carry my pistol and hand muff under the bino rig or under the zipper pouch. Meaning x2 full Molle strips to attach them one behind the other to under the bino pouch/zipper pouch. I currently have to use my belt holster, which isn’t the worst thing on earth but in cold weather it makes unholstering a chore and I recently had a pack of coyotes come up behind me in my stand and I had to fight layers to get my 1911 unholstered. To end this, if you’re wondering, you CAN attach the hand muff pouch below the zipper pouch. No other reviews covered this that I could find. Just my thoughts from the field.

Exactly what I needed. Easily re packable according to the hunt. I had a tendency to overload it at first, however, the weight was too much, pared down to essentials and select items specific to the hunt at hand and it worked out brilliantly. Item arrived expeditiously.

I already run the GlassPak Pro harness for elk hunting and the one thing I kept wishing I had was a quick-access spot for my grunt call, rangefinder batteries, and gloves without having to dig into my pack or stuff everything into a jacket pocket. When I saw this pouch was designed specifically to attach to the GlassPak Pro harness I picked it up without much hesitation. Keeping your hands free and your most-used items at chest level is the whole point of a binocular harness system and this pouch extends that logic sensibly. The pouch attaches directly to the GlassPak Pro harness and sits flat against my chest below the binoculars without interfering with the bino access or adding any uncomfortable bulk. It stays put during movement and does not bounce around when I am working through timber or covering steep ground. The integration with the harness feels intentional rather than like an afterthought, which is what you expect from an accessory designed specifically for one system. The material used is top notch throughout. Covering, zipper, straps etc. The zipper opens and closes cleanly with one hand, which is the whole point when your other hand is holding binoculars or a rangefinder. I keep my elk call in there almost exclusively now and being able to reach it without looking down or using both hands has saved me from fumbling at moments where every second of quiet movement matters. The zipper pull is sized to work with gloves on too, which I tested on a cold morning and appreciated more than I expected. The elastic holders keep smaller items from sliding around inside the pouch and the hook and loop interior lets you attach accessories and customize the layout to what you actually carry. I have mine set up with a call on the left side held by elastic and a folded glove pair on the right, and nothing shifts or jumbles during a full day of hiking. The interior customization is a genuinely useful feature since everyone's field kit is a little different. The DWR treated exterior has shed rain and light snow without letting moisture through to the contents inside. I have been out in some genuinely wet October weather with this pouch and nothing inside came out damp. It is not a waterproof dry bag level of protection but for the conditions you realistically encounter while glassing in the field it does what it needs to do. This pouch is only compatible with the Vortex GlassPak Pro binocular harness. It will not attach to the standard GlassPak or other binocular harnesses. Confirm you have the GlassPak Pro specifically before ordering. As long as it's used in the appropriate system, it goes together easily and stays put well. The VIP warranty covers this pouch for life and is fully transferable if you ever sell the harness system. It is one of the best warranties in the optics and accessories space and adds real long-term value to the purchase. If you run the GlassPak Pro harness and want a dedicated spot for calls, small tools, or gloves that keeps them accessible without reaching for your pack, this pouch solves that problem cleanly. The build quality and materials match the rest of the GlassPak Pro system and the one-handed zipper access is as useful in the field as it sounds on paper.

This zipper pouch attachment from Vortex is a solid add-on for the GlassPak harness system. Build quality stands out right away. The material feels durable with a rugged fabric exterior and reinforced stitching that doesn’t look like it’s going to wear out quickly.
