Rechargeable internal battery using USB C, has worked as good as any of my other meters so far. I haven't had the opportunity to try any of the other features on it other than the volt and ohm functions, but both of those work well.

UPDATE: The ignition pulse mode is a neat feature and nice for use in small engine diagnostics, one for setting engine rpm using the rpm readout and picking up on a weak coil reading the voltage signal. This comes after collecting some of your own data over time as I cant say as I've seen any manufacturer give any specs like this on coils.-I dip into all sorts of repair from small engines to power sports to automotive. For the price and for my budget so far this tool has been a good investment. The power probe feature is nice, done a few parasitic draw diagnostics with it and today verifying some cheapo o2 sensor's function before installation. It makes voltage drop testing a breeze also. hopefully we e are going to use it to control the heater on a different wideband O2 sensor in an attempt to make a portable A/F sensor. Need to check and see if it's capable to support that first though as to not burn up the meter which I believe has breakers that reset. Not sure on that.Update: Ignition

I bought this meter for the scope function, and it is great . I love the fact that it has all I need in the box .. my go to box for quick electrical diagnostics before pulling out the pico or ats ,It has a similiar power probe function . It also has amp meter and ohm meter , but the great part for me is the scope function . I can check signals to see if they are there before digging deep . Also it adjust the time base and the voltage scale . Great meter well worth it and the price is the good part too thanks autool

Well the instructions are pretty good EXCEPT it doesn't tell you were the batteries go . And than I found a battery pack but still no idea were it goes . Is it rechargeable somehow ?? I will send an update once I use the multi meter

I am not an auto engineer, but I tweak and modify everything from microprocessor to cars and in between. I have used too many different types of multi meters. I use some expensive high precision ones for my pure electronics work and many others for electrical etc. What got me interested in this meter is a portable oscilloscope and so many built in test features. I haven't tested it for very high level accuracy and precision because its targeted for automotive testing/ diagnostics where you do not require very high level of sensitivity and accuracy like component level electronic circuits. I don't mean that this meter doesn't have good accuracy, it seem to fine for most common use. Following are the key pros and cons of this meter:> All basic functions of a multimeter (VOA) with auto ranging.> Supplied probe is good with nice wire gauge and silicone cover.> Built in frequency counter (<1MHz) good for low freq measurement.> A function generator (sine and square wave) for different use.> Oscilloscope (< 500KHz) enough to analyze most of sensor signals in a car and more. Because it's single channel no complex multiplexed analysis can be done, but its not designed for that.> Multiple built in test functions ( relay test, injector, cranking, CAN BUS etc) which used additional port and cable to use vehicle battery power together with measurements. Most of these can be done in other way but this setup makes it easy.I found that it has a good set of features in one place specially targeted for automobile diagnostics.Ranting:> This model uses AAA cells but have socket for using LiIon rechargeable battery. Manufacturer could have put a LiIon in this. I had to use one of my RC Lipo battery, manufacturer could have put bigger battery.> Finish of the product is not that great and gives a cheap feeling.> There is a relay sound during operation, I hopes that's not something critical in auto ranging. A slow response of relay can be risky.Overall I like the functionality and this can be used for most diagnostic (this is not an auto oscilloscope) in car/auto and simple hobby electronics.
