Green Stamps to Hot Pants: Growing Up in the 50s and 60s

I wanted to buy a book for my mom so she can have a trip down memory lane. She said it’s a fantastic book and it certainly brought back great memories of her growing up.

Thought this book would be fun, it’s not.

I could tell the author did a lot of research on the eras. My only complaint with the book is that they are NO color pictures except on the cover. I would have paid more for the book to have at least half of the pictures in color. I grew up in the 1950's and went to junior and senior high school and college during the 1960's.

I love looking through all of the memories, but was a little disappointed that it was rather one sided from the author's childhood, which limited the scope of getting a more global view. I would still buy it again, though, as there are plenty of similarities across the country.

Bought this for my sis while she recuperated from surgery. She enjoyed it so much.

It is an awesome reminder of the good times I had while growing up in Minneapolis! !

This is a great book!!! If you grew up in the 60's and even 70's, you will remember a lot of good times back then! This book brought back so many wonderful memories of my younger years. I'm planning on getting several copies of this and sending them off for Christmas gifts this year!

I got it for my mother it brought her great memories.
