Fresh & Pleasant, But Not Memorable
It offers a clean, fresh green‑aquatic profile with subtle spicy accents that make it easy to wear for both men and women. While it’s pleasant and works well for daily use, it doesn’t leave a lasting impression or stand out in a crowded fragrance market.

Very Potent, Hauntingly Beautiful!
There are certain scents that are so beautiful and "moody" they almost bring me to tears. A lot of the Pearls Neara scents are like that to me. They speak to my soul! This is gorgeous. It is considered unisex. Here is a list of the notes: AROUB is a fragrance for women and men launched in 2022. Top notes: Cinnamon and Saffron; middle notes: Patchouli and Rose; base notes: Agarwood, Oud, Amber & Musk. If you do not enjoy oud, woody, resinous dark and spicy fragrances, you may want to test this prior to making a full bottle purchase. I think the rose in this is grounded with the patchouli, but the cinnamon is the real star. I love spicy scents, and cinnamon in perfumery is one of my favorites. I am so grateful to be able to add this to my collection of growing fragrances and to explore the Pearla line which is new to me. The bottle is heavy and nice. I would not suggest giving this as a gift unless you know the person has tried it out as these notes are complex and not everyone appreciates moody oud. I think that fruity notes may make it easier to wear, but then it would not be this. AND this is good stuff that doesn't smell like everything else on the market. Also...I like the cap and the tassle on the bottle. it is a nod to the cultural heritage it comes from and it is beautiful. Thanks so much for reading!

Fascinating scent.
The description makes it clear this is a scent that requires a certain palette and may not be for everyone, that said, I kinda love it. For me, the warning WAS the selling point, I absolutely have a fascination with uncommon fragrances and have several in my collection, I’ve also reviewed numerous products from Pearlanera and have grown to trust and appreciate their offerings so I HAD to try this. Presentation is great, everything from the box to the bottle has a great look and feel and I mean, cmon.. look at that bottle, it’s gorgeous and looks fantastic on a led shelf. The atomizer is fantastic and does the job well and it’s just a well put together package. But you want to know about that scent huh?.. well after hours of trying to figure out how to describe this I’ve come up with..spinach, this has a very “spinach-esque” note that is very forward in the opening with a blend of slight spice and just a touch of a sweet note (all to my nose anyway) and somehow, to me, it works. It’s not unpleasant at all regardless of how my description makes it sound, it’s actually quite nice and kinda calming in a weird way. It’s actually impressive how the “green grassy notes” are so natural smelling, this isn’t a representation of earth it’s like the real thing and it’s curious but nice. Very wet moss vibes but good lol. Now this isn’t going to be super blind buy safe or for everyone BUT they make that clear in the listing and you have to respect that, but the scent is great (to me) it has great longevity, well within expectations for an edp and it’s not so loud you’ll clear a room and for a 100ml this is well worth the price ASSUMING you’re feeling brave and want to try something besides another aventus clone. This is bold and pushes the boundaries of fragrances a bit and requires a bit of confidence to pull off and I love it. Five stars.

Perfect for someone who's not afraid to wear something different and unique.
Aroub is a bit hard for me to explain but I'll try my best. Upon first spray, I get some spice and some woodiness. The woodiness smells like it would almost be in paper form (which sounds odd, I know). Then you also smell the cinnamon. It's definitely different than anything else I have tried before. I feel like this is truly unisex but would be for someone who's not afraid to wear a scent that everyone might not understand or enjoy. I think it would work best in the Fall and Winter time because it can feel a bit heavy. I do get some floral to it but mostly spice and wood. Then you also have this aquatic note in the background which feels almost cooling in a way. It would be like standing on the end of an inlet where there's lots of green algae and foliage that's drenched in sea water. Like I said, hard for me to explain. It lingers on the skin for hours and hours so it's definitely a commitment for the day if you decide to wear this. It's definitely not for everyone, but I do enjoy it.

ABSOLUTELY NO.
I own over 200 colognes and this is one of the worst ones ive smelled. this just smells like spice and barnyard oud. and after it dries down, it just turns into pure barnyardy, animalistic oud. definitely not mass appealing at all. not even minorly appealing. unless you want to smell like a cow that rolled around in vetiver, i would stay away from this.

Spicy Woody Floral
I've tried several fragrances from Pearlanera and have been pleasantly impressed with many of them. Aroub continues this streak. The opening isn’t just another predictable saffron and cinnamon blas. It’s drier, almost like aged wood with a hint of heat. There’s a quiet confidence to it, like a scent that knows its place and doesn’t need to announce itself. What I appreciate about Aroub is its versatility. It feels appropriate for both day and night, adapting well to different settings. It strikes a nice balance of spice, floral, and woody elements without leaning too masculine or feminine. The longevity is solid; a morning application comfortably lasts through the day. The bottle design is sleek, adding a nice touch to my collection, though I'm not a big fan of the tassel, to be honest. I think that it's a nice go-to and has a spot in my rotation for its adaptability and enduring presence.

Confusing description, high price, not my jam
I picked out PEARLANERA AROUB Eau de Parfum Spray because it was described as a "Fresh Spicy Green Aquatic" unisex fragrance. I was hoping for something along the line of Cool Water. Nope. In all the descriptions on this page, pay attention to this: "Some might find it initially sharp or intense, or the nagarmotha and vetiver notes overwhelming; crafted for those who appreciate a bold/invigorating scent." (Ignore the description further down in the page--that's for a different scent if you look at their product page.) 'm not a perfume expert, but after looking up those two scents, yeah it is, and no I don't care for them. Definitely a more masculine scent. Definitely a middle-eastern vibe. And strong, though it dies down somewhat after an hour or two. TBH reminds me a bit of over-scented skeezy guys trying to pick you up in a bar :) So despite all that, I was going to rate it 4 stars, because they did tell you what you're getting. And the bottle is unique-looking. But I saw the current price on this page ($79.99 or $23.53 per Fl Oz) and the non-discounted same exact one on the regular product page ($31.99 or $9.41 / Fl Oz)--AND they have a 2 for the price of one deal running--and decided this particular offering on this page is a terrible value.

Ehhhh.... Not for me
This fragrance has an interesting evolution as it wears. The initial smell that hits the nose from a distance is very spicy, and in my head is associated with middle eastern men who wear far too much cologne. The ones that you know they used an elevator earlier in the day, if that makes sense to anyone but me. As the stinging spice fades, it evolves to be more acrid and "cheap" for lack of a better word. After it settles on the skin, the close smell is sweet and inviting, nearly berry and tropical fruit like. This, as opposed to the spice laden acridity that is the far smell, is very pleasant. The balance is really off for my preference. The spice is just the wrong type, and is offensive to my senses. Leaving a card in a well ventilated space, the offensive spice still boldly asserts itself in the room after several hours. The delicate layers underneath are lost underneath.
