Nitecore HA11 240 Lumen Ultra Lightweight AA Headlamp Dual Beam Headlight Tag (Normal Headband)

Finally found what I wanted: a compact headlamp with batteries at the front by the light and a red-light option. I had a lightweight Petzl headlamp for decades and if finally died. I had to look long and hard to find one that made me as happy as the Petzl - this fits the bill perfectly! While I no longer hike rocky crags in the dark (this headlamp would work fine for that), I do feed horses, other needy critters, and hike around my feral hog, coyote, and rattlesnake infested property. The band is easy to adjust and you don't have to have it headache-tight to stay put because it is so light. This helps me see animals when in the red light option and avoid obstacles. There are other ligths with more lumens, but I don't need to light up the whole world, so this product is perfect for me.

Lightweight. Easy to use. Comfortable on head. Bright enough for my needs. Reasonably priced.

I using this in a garage and mostly use old batteries that have I have removed from locks, toys etc that I run down. So the battery life is not long but it makes me happy I am fully using old batteries. Wish it would turn on with white light first. F

I think I rushed to give it five stars previously. After trying to use it on high, I will not give it more than three stars, because the light will not stay on high for more than five seconds. It keeps going back to medium power. This is happening on both Nitecore HA11 UHE 240 Lumen, that I purchased.

Doesn’t work as described. High power only lasts a few seconds and then it goes back to low(tried with multiple batteries and at different temperatures). Extremely cheap/light construction. No where near the quality of a black diamond or petzl headlamp. I can’t use it to hike or cross country ski because the low setting is too dim.
