I buy a lot of cashew nuts from this seller. The quality is very good - only two times from my ten purchases the bag had too many broken nuts. Cashews nuts are very beneficial - two handfuls of cashews each day may keep depression at bay because they are very rich in Tryptophan. Depressive episodes are often triggered when the body drops in serotonin and Tryptophan can boost it again. I can honestly say that this really works. Several handfuls of cashews provide 1,000-2,000 milligrams of tryptophan, which will work as well as prescription antidepressants. The high levels of magnesium and vitamin B6 found in cashews may also help to stabilize mood. Approximately five ounces of cashews a day will provide a middle-aged man with his daily-required magnesium intake, a nutrient that, when low, can trigger mild depression. Vitamin B6 lends a hand to converting tryptophan into serotonin and helps magnesium enter into the body's cells.

Makes wonderful nut milk IF you get the right ones BEWARE
(second edit)Food to Live reached out to me and we discussed the issues I had with their product. For that I added one star back. I replaced these with their 12# organic, and got nuts from Brazil. They aren't quite the same as the Vietnamese but are pretty good.(Edit) I originally gave these five stars. That was because I got the absolutely wonderful fragrant plump tasty fresh ones from Vietnam. I reordered and got the pale dried up broken ones no-smell ones from India that are pretty bad. Be warned that it is like the lottery on what you get. The rest of this review is referring to the Vietnamese nuts. I sent the Indian bag back and ordered the 12lb organic hoping to luck out. Also took 3/4 cup to make some nutmilk. About half turned MUSHY in 30 minutes. The batch of nutmilk came out white and no taste. The Vietnamese source ones have a bit of a tan appearance to the nutmilk and flavorful, a nutty flavor with a note of peanutbutter. The India source ones? I'd drop this to one star but the Vietnamese source ones are SO good. Pray you win the lottery on this one and get the good ones. If FOOD TO LIVE reads their reviews, stop trashing your product. The India source are old and icky.Bought these to make vegan cheese... haven't got there yet, but.I have tried soaking these and making nutmilk in my Joyoung CTS2038 soypot. About 3/4 cup, soaked for 24 hours, drain, add 1/4 cup freshly rinsed white rice, and fill to the top line indicated with water. This produces almost no pulp, and will not boil over (half soybeans/half cashews soaked for 12 hours (2/3 cup total dry) plus the rice tends to boil over some.) This does not clean off well though, you have to use a scrubbie on the pot to get it off.Taste--massively amazing, especially hot. I was surprised. I drank three glasses as the potful cooled, the first one once it got drinkable temp was just wonderful, comforting. Second glass was about the right temp, and indicates that this will be the perfect thing for making vegan cheese. The third glass was a little cool, but. They are very much worth it for making foodstuffs from. I tried adding some nutritive yeast flakes to a small sample and it was heading for cheese flavor. The nuts are large, mostly unbroken, and the bag smelled very fresh when I opened it. I haven't tried roasting any yet. These are very much worth the price. I am checking out some of Food to Live's other products because of the nice quality of these nuts.

Raindrops on Roses, Whiskers on Kittens, and Raw Cashews...
my dream is to one day get a cashew tree (yes, I know they're very messy) in here, but 'til then, once or twice a year I work some "extra overtime" *just* so I can buy myself ten or twelve pounds of raw cashews from amazon. I always mean to soak them in salt water and lime juice and then roast them...but they taste so good raw, straight out of the bag, I've only done that once or twice.these cashews are delicious! I only buy from a couple of companies and have never gotten a bad batch. a handful of these with a piece of fruit is the perfect meal on the go when I don't have the time or energy to cook something. I have a blender that does nut butters, so whenever I find extra-crisp and juicy apples, I like to make cashew butter with fresh lime juice and pink salt, and slather it on apple slices. this is one of my favorite meals, ever (either alone, or as an apple/cashew-butter sammich made with a piece of fresh naan)...but sadly, it's hard to find a good apple, these days.I keep raw cashews in the freezer. this gives them an extra bit of crunch and prevents them from getting stale. but it's hard to keep myself in check when they're around. few things are more delicious than cashews, and they are jam-packed with nutrients. I eat very healthily and don't count calories as a general rule, but if one isn't careful one could gain fifty pounds in a week gorging on cashews.I am determined to do some soaked-in-lime-juice-and-salt roasting with these, but I've said that before. and meant it. until I get around to that, however, I'll be enjoying them (immensely) straight out of the bag. these cashews are fresh and tasty. and on a per-meal basis, they're really not that expensive. I've been buying these for years, and will most definitely buy them again. and again. and again...

Poor quality.
These had a strong smell of something that resembled diesel fuel. The bag said “product of Ivory Coast”. Wonder if the raw nuts were shipped to the U.S. for packaging and were somehow tainted before they got here. I was brave and tasted one, and the nuts actually had no cashew flavor at all. Yuck! I never would have taken a chance on ordering something listed as non-returnable, but was desperate because of avoiding stores during the pandemic. Avoid these, if you want my opinion. These are going into the garbage.

Cashews may be tainted with diesel/pesticide taste.
I didn’t need the cashews immediately so I placed them in my freezer. When I removed them from the freezer some cashews had a nasty “diesel/pesticide “ taste. I pan roasted them. It slightly helped. Since it was a $20 investment, I decided to grind them up and I sprinkle them on foods. That is my last purchase of “raw” cashews.
