Utterly brilliant for clearing 0.5mm mechanical pencil
Long story short - had a jammed mechanical pencil (I'd put too much lead in it). Couldn't clear it using pins, needles, toothpicks, fine pliers etc. Had a bit of a ponder and figured I needed 0.5mm steel rod but this came up instead. Works brilliantly - strong but flexible and cleared the jam in no time.No idea what it's supposed to be for but there you go.

Just the job
These were used to replace damaged ones on a kite. Perfect for the job and the packaging was perfect.

Poor dimensional accuracy
Specified as 1.5mm diameter, the supplied rods were between 1.32mm to 1.4mm diameter. Useless for my purposes.
