Q: when do these expire?

The ones I have expire in 2020 but I bought them a year ago

Q: My pellets don’t float? What should I do?

I had this issue as well but instead of dropping the pellets from the opening of my aquarium lid I would open the lid and drop the pellets as close to the water as possible and this helped a lot. All but a couple of pellets float now.

Q: How is this food different from the one with the same name but packaged in a see-through container with a red lid and priced at $26 for just .61 oz?

They are flakes, not pellets. Pellets are much better for a betta fish than flakes, and flakes should be a LAST resort. They are not as nutritious as pellets. One thing many keepers do not know is that you should soak the pellet before giving them to your betta and only give them as much as they can eat in two minuets. The pellets can expand in your fish’s stomach and cause problems. The ingredients on this betta food are very good, and I would recommend staying with this food.

The main ingredients are appealing. However, the one that raises concern is that Omega One uses Ethoxyquin. As long as Omega One uses it, I won't be feeding my fish their food.
