Cable Matters [VESA Certified] 80Gbps DisplayPort 2.1 Cable, 6.6ft / 2m

I’ve been using this Cable Matters DisplayPort 2.1 (DP80) cable with a 175Hz gaming monitor and a high-end GPU, and the performance has been excellent. The connection is completely stable at high refresh rates — no flickering, no signal drops, and no random black screens. 175Hz runs flawlessly, and adaptive sync (G-SYNC/FreeSync) works exactly as expected. HDR also functions without any issues. Build quality feels solid, and the 2m length is perfect for a clean setup without any signal degradation. While this cable is definitely overkill for 175Hz (a good DP 1.4 cable could handle it), the extra bandwidth provides peace of mind and ensures long-term compatibility with higher refresh rates or future upgrades. I have the Cable Matters DP80 cable connected to a 500Hz LCD monitor using a DP 1.4 graphics card. The cable is working well, and there have been no problems so far. I have not tested the cable with DisplayPort 2.1 hardware. The other products I looked at are from Club 3D and Silkland. Monitors Unboxed received a Silkland DP 80 cable from the vendor (instead of buying one from a store), and I think they reviewed a golden sample because there are Amazon customers who report problems. The Club 3D CAC-1092 cable has a higher price than the other two, but Club 3D makes high quality cables (based on owning a Club 3D CAC-2067 cable). Level 1 Techs has done independent testing of DisplayPort cables using a Total Phase machine and eye diagrams. The Cable Matters product construction is fairly thick but flexible enough to maneuver. For comparison: I had a Club 3D CAC-2067 DisplayPort cable. The Club 3D cable was high quality and worked well; however, that cable is very thick and stiff. The Club 3D 2067 cable is so rigid that unless you find just the right position, the end plugs require some degree of rotation to align/insert into the ports. The resulting torque applied is bad for the cable, graphics card port, and/or monitor port. The Cable Matters DP80 cable is less stiff and rigid.

BETTER THAN OTHER 80 GBPS DP. VERY CLEAN PICTURE. UPDATE :: THEY CAN NOT HANDLE HDR CINEMA. PICTURE FLASHES AND DISCONNECTS ALL MONITORS BACK TO ONE FROM 4. YOU MUST RE-EXTEND THEM MANUALLY FOR THEM TO WORK AGAIN.. ONCE AGAIN 2 FAILED CABLE FROM THIS BUSINESS

I bought this cable to connect my gaming PC to my monitor. It looks and feels well built. Definitely a premium cable. It just works, and thats exactly what I need it to do.

I upgraded to a 32" ASUS 1440p monitor using a RTX 3080, works flawlessly as always, great quality. Please, DON'T USE CHEAP CABLES for your gaming rig, I've had nothing but problems with the cheap Amazon Basic garbage and other cheap brands, especially after upgrading my gaming PC. (years ago, I thought my GPU was dying, it was a cheap-ass Amazon Basic cable, after replacing it ... no problems.)

Well, these are marvellous - I used them on my current monitor and went from 60 FPM to 119+ FPM on the same monitor - the graphics card is better used now, and everything is clearer and sharper - next stop a better monitor. I have bought a non-VESA certified DP cable, and they are a fire risk - ruin your GPU too. Better to buy right than buy cheap, and these are under £20 - so a good mid-range price - top quality cable.

I have a 165 hertz monitor that was starting to flicker after 15min everytime I would use it. I replaced the monitor and used the display cable from the manufacturer and just thought maybe the brand was bad. Then I realized that the display cable being provided by these companies for their monitors were really cheap and could barely handle the Hertz the screen used. This device solved it instantly for both screens I am running. Would recommend buying this product if you need a good quality display cable.
