Pichi Pichi Pitch 1: Mermaid Melody Paperback – 25 April 2006

Love it! Great story and pacing! Wish the anime was dubbed in English, but I'll have to settle with this!

I stumbled across Mermaid Melody on youtube.com. The anime made me want to read the mangas, and I am glad I did. The story is maybe not very original, but it is well drawn, and easily read. What's more, the translator included notes on some facts and things typically Japanese which might be difficult to understand when you first come across them. Whether you are a fan of mangas or completely new to the genre, Mermaid Melody is very enjoyable and quite addictive!

This is probably one of the most cute and addictive mangas I have read. With it's colourful characters, romantic yet funny story line and beautiful artwork, anyone who enjoys Shoujo Manga will definitely love this. It is another of the Magical Girl genre, but the girls transform into Idol Singers instead of your average superheroes.I would recommend this to any fan of Shoujo Manga!
