You can't beat this price for a set of three. They're well made and have been holding up to the use of three wild kids under the age of 7. They are foam but are a bit harder than I thought. I got hit in the face with one by accident and it was tougher than I expected. Just needs to be used responsibly

My 4 yr old son's taekwondo class had nunchuck training class. Found this at our local dollar store during halloween. The other brand like goldenvalue had longer 14" foam plastics with chain were too heavy for him, this size is perfect for 3-4 year olds, but the issue is the nylon string is weak and frays quickly. I had to sand down the hole to prevent string cutting with 400 grit sand paper wrapped around the string, then reinforce the string with some grip/sports tape. The string tangles a bit. This is only good for very early beginner training or halloween costume, serious training would go with Sensei David's brand for youth 5-10yrs old. This is a value only if can be purchased for $1-2.
