The appearance of these is good but the rod are hollow not solid. These may be fine for lighter shelve but I opted for another product which has a solid rod as my material was 2” thick 6.5” deep x 48” long hard maple shelves

Solid supports, good value for good material.Making the straight drill holes without a drill press and using hand drill left holes slightly angled. Left my shelves 1/8 -1/4” from the wall.

The shelf rod is not perpendicular to the mounting plate which forces me to give it only 3 stars. Seems to me that is a necessary part of a shelf bracket. When the mounting plate is flush up against the wall, the shelf that sits on top of the rod should be flat and parallel to the floor. Each bracket had a slightly different angle and it is too rigid to bend.Otherwise the quality is excellent. The bracket is sturdy and the bracket materials are strong enough to hold almost anything one places on it. The package comes with quality drywall anchors, two different types, in fact. And the screws that are included are also not the cheap ones. The paint job feels like a powder coat, but not sure of that. I think the paint will last a long time.If you don't care about the rod not pointing straight out from the wall, this product is of great value.

I purchased these brackets a year ago and wanted to wait and see if I ever had a problem. After one year of use, I can honestly say that I love the shelves I made with these brackets. There has been no movement or weakness in these shelves. They are very sturdy. The screws worked great, but I did use stronger anchors. I would say that they are a great buy for a great set of DIY shelves.
