I’m a Rebound 7a guy and have no intention of ever using another type of stick other than these Promark active grip Sticks... Oh, and I did have a defective pair that broke (one stick) within 24 hours - but this was easily solved by Amazon.In terms of weight, they're well balanced and ideal for Roland V-Drums. The coating doesn't get too rubbery and end up causing blisters - which is a huge advantage over similar sticks from other brands. I cannot recommend these sticks enough for any digital drummers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Legendary sticks, good grip, but wildly different weights *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 November 2022* I'm getting back into a bit of drumming after 30+ years and have bought a few different brands of 5A sticks. I bought these Promarks because I used that brand all those years ago (influenced, as I was, by my admiration for the drumming of Neil Peart). These sticks are made from hickory and have a coating (called Activegrip(TM)) that's claimed to become (deliberately) sticky when the hands get sweaty. I've not used them for long enough to properly assess that claim, but they certainly seem more secure in my hands than other sticks without such a coating. Individually, the sticks have a good feel and balance in use, but there is a bit of a difference between the two. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was, so weighed them on some kitchen scales. Whereas my other sticks differ in weight no more than 2-3 grams across each pair, these are WAY different ... one stick weighs 48g whereas the other weighs 58g! I feel that ~20% difference when using them. There were also some white marks on the sticks when they arrived. These seemed to be embedded into the coating material. I managed to scratch most of it off, and it is only cosmetic, but it was still a bit annoying. All in all, I was a bit disappointed.
