Spigen Rugged Armor MagFit Case for iPhone 17e / 16e - Matte Black

A number of years ago, I had a rather large Samsung phone, for which, as I usually do, I tried a number of cases before finding the Rugged Armor and settling for it and keeping it on the phone for the duration of the time I had it. I liked it so much that I resolved that, in the future, whatever phone I bought, I'd make sure that the Rugged Armor would be my first port of call when it came to choosing a case. However, when I moved onto my Pixel 6a, I checked out the Rugged Armor, only to find that they changed the design a little, so that, there were these unsightly, protruding "bulges," on all four corners, which did nothing for the aesthetics of the case, nor when fitted, the phone, so I gave it a pass. When buying my iPhone 17e, I came across the Rugged Armor case for it on Amazon and noticed that they'd reverted (I'm happy to say) to the original design! So, I ordered one and to say that I'm not disappointed is an understatement. I'm cockahoop 😉😉 Like the case I had one my Samsung, it's a really snug, tight, secure fit, especially around the charging port, where soft cases were, traditionally, annoyingly "saggy!" It adds very little in the way of extra thickness to the phone, feels great in the hand and I believe that the material on the back has also changed/improved and has an almost "sandstone," like texture, making it much more grippy and more resistant to fingerprints than previous Rugged Armor cases. All in all, I'm chuffed to bits with my purpose. Whether or not, it's my "forever" case, remains to be seen, but for the present, it's more than up to the task. I've not tried out the "magsafe" properties, as yet, as I intend to buy a magnetic car mount. But, I'll pop back in a few weeks in order to comment on how effective that it. However, for now, I can thoroughly recommend this case! 😉😉

This case fits well and seems to have decent protection. Grip is decent though a little harsh in the hand (will probably wear in over time). Buttons all work just fine. The camera button/slide control is not covered - this is pretty necessary if you want to actually use it for the slide features - with sufficient access. The camera lenses, flash, etc are all well protected without being obscured. The magsafe works well and had no issues with it on a magsafe stand. Certainly not the prettiest of things but I'm happy to recommend this case to others who prefer protection over pretty.

Very sleek and feels good and comfortable to hold. Gave my phone a perfect coverage and protection. I love the colour combination as well. Highly recommend.

As expected with a Spigen product, this case looks fantastic on my iPhone 16 pro. Pro’s - It fits like a glove & adds minimal bulk, has a nice grip and feels like it would protect the phone from most ‘normal’ drops (just my opinion, I haven’t actually tested this). It also looks great, especially the carbon fibre look on the back. Cons - the cut out for the camera control button isn’t ideal due to the lip protecting the screen. I also feel this same lip is noticeable when swiping up from the bottom of the screen Other than that, a fantastic looking and feeling case. I would definitely recommend it. 4/5 stars or 8/10. Whatever way you want to look at it.

Strong case and fits the phone well. The buttons still feel easy to press and the MagSafe connection works fine. It adds a bit of bulk, but it feels much safer than a slim case.

One of the few cases I found for this phone that actually covers both the camera plateau and the camera control button. The usual great Spigen quality: solid TPU material that gives me confidence for drop protection, grippy and fits great (there's no wiggle). Magsafe (for wireless charging, etc.) and the camera control button through the case works perfectly as well. Certainly one of the best cases out there and all of this for a reasonable price.

A slim line but protective case. I’m usually someone that only buys Otterbox products, but saw this after my last case fell apart. It’s a good all rounder and the price is spot on. Would recommend if your looking for a slim line case that is stylish but minimalistic.

I absolutely love how this rugged cover gives a perfect, sturdy grip in my hand. Love it. Great feel. Keeps phone safe.

Strong MagSafe Magnet: The built-in magnets are super strong and hold snap-on accessories and chargers securely in place. Wireless charging just works. Sleek Aesthetic: Love the overall color accent and the stylish carbon fiber detailing on the back. Precision Cutouts: Every single port and speaker cutout aligns perfectly. Final Verdict: This will likely be the only case I’ll ever need for this phone. And Spigen... if you’re reading this: I learned my lesson. I’m never switching again!

This is a nice case. It is very well built and doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. Thus, it allows for a comfortable grip while operating the phone. The texture and material offers a feeling of security and confidence that the phone won't slip out of your hand. Additionally, there is no interference with wireless charging or the use of any mag safe products. Already dropped the phone one or two times from the lap while standing up and the case did its job well. It offered sufficient cushion to absorb shocks when dropped on a hard surface.
