Timex x Space Invaders T80 34mm Watch

Great watch. But watching other unboxing videos, the original Package sleeve that says Timex/Space invaders was replaced with a plain, white sleeve. I wanted to display the box with the original sleeve. Edit, there was another protective sleeve around the main box. I found this out months later. I was over protective of it. 😂 This is a good piece. Classic T80 that's been around forever. Easy to set with instructions printed on the inside of the box. The alarm makes Space Invaders sounds. Good everyday watch at a good price.

To be honest, I was never planning on buying this watch. I originally wanted the Stranger Things T80, but Space Invaders and the video game age that spawned from it was such a core part of my early teens that this won out when I saw the price was nearly half of the Stranger Things model. Regardless, I wasn't actually expecting very much from this watch, Timex hasn't exactly been about value for money the past several years. But it turns out that this is actually a really solid little watch. It's never going to seriously compete against similar Casio offerings in terms of value & functionality, but you do get good basic functions like alarm, stopwatch, and the Indigo feature, with the Space Invaders themed front and alarm. As for the negatives, well... it's a Timex. Corners are going to be cut. The case isn't steel or even metal, it's plastic / resin that's been chrome plated. That means it's going to wear off over time, but Timex has always preferred plating over using solid materials, so this shouldn't be a huge surprise. The Indigo feature isn't very bright, and it turns off as soon as you let go of the button. Finally, the bracelet is a real hair puller at first, but it's less frequent over a few days. Overall, it's a great looking timepiece that'll suit any middle-aged nerd like me or someone who just wants to bask in the glory of the 1980s. It's got its flaws, but it makes up for it in charm.

If you like to collect but don’t have a lot of money small watches are great affordable fun. This high quality steel watch is a must have for collectors. Let the memories live. Yes it’s also a great watch to wear.

Es un capricho, se trata de un reloj bàsico, tipo casio, pero con el acabado vintage. Hubiera estado boen que llevara el juego.

Estava muito preocupado com a Pulseira de Metal, imaginando que seria frágil e incômoda como nos relógios Casio... Não poderia estar mais enganado! Veste confortavelmente bem e é facilmente regulável, sem a necessidade de remover Links ou cortes na pulseira. Peça muito interessante e que não me incomoda, mesmo com pelos no braço. Recomendo!
