Only if you have done some crazy hardware alterations or a homicidal arch nemesis.

Will this work for 10Gbase-T connections over cat6a?

It should. Cat6 should pass lower data rates just fine. You'll just get link lights or not.

Will this test if the eithernet port on my camera is working?

It will be able to test Ethernet connection if your device has a network card that transmit the signal.

Horrendous Quality Control

This flat out does not work. I have tried it on every port on every device I own including a router, unmanaged Ethernet switches, managed Ethernet switches, and all of my computers. The lights on the network interface stay off on all of them and these are all working interfaces. I'm sure some of these work after reading some of the other reviews, but the quality control on these products is horrendous and I would advise anyone to not take a chance on these and read carefully any reviews of other loopback plugs you are thinking about buying.
