Review: Nice book - I only review things that I personally use myself and continue to use regularly. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. Review: Well printed, insightful, organized, easy-to-follow advice to improve your leadership skills. - This is a well-written and visually interesting book, and I'm happy to recommend it to anyone in a leadership position who believes that improvement is a good goal to aim for. The version I ordered is the hardcover version, and it's well-printed and has a nice, thick cover. The book is laid out in easy-to-follow chapters, and each page has graphics that are also easy to follow and relate to the contents of the page. The wording is reasonably easy to follow (though I have a note about that), and the book is filled with insights and experiences as well as real-world examples you can relate to, to help explain the concept the author is trying to get across. None of the book comes across as at all critical of the reader, instead focusing on what kinds of things a reader can focus on to try to improve their own leadership. There are many sections, and lots of sections are set out as a set of skills - for example the "Identify, Amplify, and Address" skill in a section that focuses on the importance of a leader being able to recognize a team member's strengths and weaknesses, give the team member situations where they can develop the strengths, and address the weaknesses of the team member in areas where they have trouble. There's a lot to this book so I won't attempt to summarize it, but overall it's very insightful and easy to follow, and you can likely get through the book in just a few hours thanks to its intuitive layout. There are also footnotes and sources linked for all of the fact-based statements, which I appreciated. Now, that's not to say the book is perfect, and I will touch on a note I made earlier. There are some strange wording choices; not a lot, but enough that I caught one in the first dozen pages. A specific example of this is a theoretical exclamation "Why cannot I catch a break?", and I just thought that and a couple other sentences were strangely worded. It's a small complaint, though, and only notable in a few places, but if you notice them, they might stand out to you. The included sticker sheet, also, was folded to fit the book in a way that makes many of the stickers unusable, but as I don't really have a use for the stickers, it didn't bother me. Overall I think this is a very helpful and well-put-together book that anyone can use to improve their leadership skills, or even to just get ideas about things you could work on as a leader. * I only review things that I personally use myself and continue to use regularly. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Middle of the road narrative. Will not recommend for or against this 2nd edition text.
The publication quality is 5 star , excellent binding and print quality. The narration, however, is simple in review and of opinion and is a replayed narrative— don’t expect ground breaking insight to be gained if you’ve been in your business for a while. Nothing wrong with the text per se, but I didn’t see much in this and its value is low at the listed price point. Perhaps it is a better value, and good overview of “leadership pitfallss”, for early career types without facilitated mentoring.
