ASICS Women's Gel Rocket 7 Indoor Court Shoe

This is UPDATED review is from my wife: I ordered this shoe for a fitness class I teach that has sports drills, kickboxing, HIIT, etc, and I needed some supportive shoes with floor grip and lateral support. I was looking for a cross training shoe (not a running shoe), and I heard that volleyball shoes worked great. So I did my research, found these Asics Women's Gel Rocket 7 (volleyball shoes), and ordered a size 6. I usually wear a 6, and these fit great. They were comfortable and supportive right out of the box. I have low arches (not flat feet) but don't wear inserts/orthotics. I wore them for teaching class once and they were fabulous!! I'm ordering more pairs for back up when these wear out. When our shoes wear down (it doesn't take as long as you think), we end up with knee pain, back pain, foot pain, etc. These shoes are just what I need for the forward, the lateral, and the high impact moves of this class. I highly recommend them!! I ordered them with Amazon Prime, so the price was very very good, shipping was free, and arrived in two days. Can't beat that!***Update a few weeks later: I've been wearing these shoes to teach multiple classes a week for a couple weeks now. I LOVE THEM! They have taken away my feet/knee pain (and it helped that I got new shoes for my other dance fitness classes that I teach.) I will be ordering more.

I bought these sneakers in the pink/purple color when they were on sale for like $25.. such a fantastic buy! I played competitive volleyball in high school and college, and now play in recreation leagues for fun. I realized that my volleyball sneakers from high school just weren't cutting it anymore, and these Asics are such a great replacement. They have good arch support and shock absorption.. my knees could definitely feel the difference. I am a size 11 and have somewhat of a wide foot. I bought a size 11 and they fit perfectly.. didnt need any time to break them in either.. they felt great from day 1. My sister told me that they kind of look like little girls' cheerleading sneakers because of the colors.. but that doesn't bother me. They were inexpensive and are comfortable so that's all I really care about. Overall, a fantastic replacement for my old, beat up volleyball sneaks.

Love these shoes. I’ve always been partial to ASICS (though my last shoes were the Mizuno Wave Hurricane something something), and these didn’t disappoint. The sole is a little stiff at first, so I’d definitely recommend breaking them in at practice before committing to a whole tournament in them.As far as I can tell, the sizing is the toughest thing to gauge with ASICS. I’m a 9.5 in most shoes (like Nike), a 9 in Chuck Taylors, and a 10 in Mizuno. I ordered a 10 on the recommendation of other commenters to order up a half size, and they fit well, though they’re not as snug as I’m used to.The shoes are quite wide at the toe, so if you are consistently the same size, you can probably get away with ordering that size if you’re used to shoes fitting snugly.

This is the first pair of ASICS I've purchased that I really like. I got them for P90X because it was recommended to have a court shoe. I took a chance with these because I found them at a great price - I was hesitant because I don't care for the ASICS running shoes that I have. But, with ordering 1/2 size up, they fit perfect. I like how they are wide in the toe box but a little more narrow around the mid foot/arch area. The heel is well cushioned so my heels don't slip and slide. They did take a bit of a break in period - any ASICS I've had seem a bit stiff at first - but my feet never have gotten too sore in them because I only wear them for an hour or so a day when I'm working out. I would not recommend these as a walking shoe, but they are great for their intended purpose.

I am 40+ and play women's volleyball one night a week. I haven't had actual volleyball shoes to play volleyball in for a long time. At $26 I couldn't pass up these up. I tried them out for the first time last night. I played GREAT. When you get a high, tight set and you hear the other team saying 'oh sh*t', you know you are playing well! Was it the new shoes? Who knows? I also wear Asics Gel running shoes and ordered these in the same size and they fit as expected. These definitely grip the court better than running shoes, which really helps in the dusty school gyms I play in. Not my first choice in colors (pink/white), but the other colors were all at least double the price.

I have started playing pickleball and my feet starting bothering me. I had great Nike’s but was getting blisters and the ball of my right foot was killing me. Bought pads, bought a new pair of shoes and nothing helped. Keep researching the best shoes to buy and this pair was one that was listed. So I bought them and I am extremely happy to say that they are the best ever. My feet do not hurt on the court any longer and they feel amazing. Would buy them again and recommend them for anyone that plays sports on courts or doing aerobics. A must!!😊

These are my daughter's favorite court shoes (volleyball). I love the consistency ASICS has - the size and fit are true no matter what style of shoe you buy. Being able to order online and be confident that the shoe will fit properly helps save money. Important when your athlete burns through a pair of shoes every season (and there are two seasons a year). This shoe has good stability for side-to-side movement and a great non-slip sole. The small lip of tough material over the top of the toe definitely helps prevent wearing through. My daughter plays really hard, and her shoes take a beating. These are great quality for a reasonable price.
