America AS-2400 Transcription Kit

This is a wonderful product. I had used a microcassette transcriber for my old tape recorder, and when I switched to digital, it was taking me much longer to transcribe tapes. This is even faster than my microcassette transcriber was. It has cut my workload by about 60%. I love it! And I especially appreciate the feedback I got from others when I was trying to find out which foot pedal would work best for digital recorders. They recommended this one, and they were right.

This is a very reasonably priced transcription kit that does the job very well. I am delighted to have bought it for my busy medical office. A great help.

It works perfectly! It makes dictation so much more organized and efficient! Would recommend to anyone doing transcribing! Two thumbs up!

I bought this for my wife and she loves it.

The pedal works great. The software is fine. The headphones are horrible. I bought the kit because I needed the pedal and the software is required due to Olympus insisting on clinging to their proprietary file format. I assumed the headphones would at least be decent. They're not. The crappy 2 dollar headphones you get on airplanes sound better. That said, I seriously doubt anyone is buying this kit for the headphones.

This item was delivered, but would not connect/load the software. Numerous calls to Olympus were not helpful or went unanswered. Olympus would only communicate via email... no voice, no chat. Because of the delay, we missed our return window with Amazon. Even though the Amazon return window closed, Amazon was somewhat responsive. No problems with the seller, but I would strongly recommend against purchasing ANY Olympus product given their miserable level of support.

Lo strumento è utile per chi abbia necessità di "sbobinare" registrazioni vocali, e permette di digitare sulla tastiera senza necessità di fermare e riavvolgere ad ogni pausa l'audio. Lavora con i registratori digitali, di cui scarica i files, che possono essere sentiti ed avviati (oltreché riavvolti) attraverso la pedaliera. E' anche possibile far riavvolgere il parlato di un certo tempo (un secondo è più che adeguato) ad ogni pausa, per non perdere il filo di quanto si sta trascrivendo. Per chi dispone di "Dragon Naturally Speaking" - il sistema di trascrizione automatica del parlato -, poi, è possibile interfacciare i sistemi: in prima battuta "Dragon" trascrive automaticamente quanto è stato dettato, quindi, attraverso il pedale, si può risentire, e correggere, se necessario, quanto è stato "tradotto". Lo ritengo un ottimo prodotto (anche per il rapporto qualità/prezzo) che può migliorare sensibilmente la produttività.

I bought this in the hope of getting some home-based transcription work. Delivery was quick. It is well made, the software loaded with no problem and is easy to use 'straight out of the box'. The foot pedal is sturdy and works a treat, and the sound through the headphones is clear. I will be changing the headset for a stronger and more sound-proof model, although the headset with the kit is fine for that. It is quite tight on the ears though and I'm not sure it will be comfortable for any length of time.

Muy útil para realizar tus transcripciones de voz a escritura, salvo sus audifono que son duros para un trabajo prolongado, el resto muy bien y me ha servido.

I PURCHASED THIS TO ENABLE ME TO WORK FROM HOME. WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL EVERYTHING, I FOUND THAT THERE WAS IN FACT NO SOFTWARE OR LICENCE KEY INCLUDED. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Had to get an IT guy to load me and older version so I can use it. Not very simple to set up

Love this Transcription system! Very easy to use. Program is downloaded online. Does include a CD. You have the product Key so doesn’t matter. Great system, great seller!
