So, I, like many buyers on the site, obsess over the reviews posted for items on Amazon. They definitely make or break the deal. I can see a product I feel like I'd absolutely love; but, if there's a particular negative review that points out some random issue, I'll spend a good twenty minutes re-thinking my decision and scrolling through the rest of the reviews feverishly in a need to assure myself that I'm making the right decision.I noticed that a common complaint with this product was that it wasn't sturdy enough (as in it didn't hold its shape/stand on its own properly), and the material was sub-par. So I was a little wary at first, especially because the product claimed to have been updated but I couldn't tell whether the negative review(s) I read were about the new version or the old one. I went with my gut and bought this product (I had already bought the Back Seat Organizer [ Premium Quality Backseat Car Organizer With Bonus Kick Mat Seat Back Protector By RoadPal With Built-In iPad/Tablet Holder Cargo Storage For Baby Stroller & Kid Travel Accessories Toys Bottles Books ] from this same company a few days before and absolutely loved it too, so I figured I could trust the seller).SO YES, THIS IS REVIEWING THE NEW, UPDATED VERSION OF THE ORGANIZER, W/THE WATERPROOF COVER INCLUDED.I absolutely love this organizer! It's not too big and fits nicely in my Nissan Sentra. It seems to be pretty well-built, definitely good quality, especially for the price paid (yay for the update!) The side pockets are sturdy, some are a bit tight but they're meant to hold slimmer items, so that means things won't fall out so easily. Two sturdy 'panels' are included to place on the bottom of the large compartments, to keep the organizer standing and hold its shape; also, an additional, optional smaller panel is included that attaches to the walls of one inside compartment with velcro (which is what makes it 3 compartments instead of two; again, it's optional, if you want two big compartments then just don't use it). All of these pieces (the velcro-attachable panel and two sturdy panels) can be removed and left standing in the organizer when folded up for storage. I like the folding storage feature, that way if I don't need it but want to keep it in the car, I can easily fold up the organizer and put it off to the side (and I don't have to worry about it unfolding, because there are plastic snap clips that hold the organizer together when folded). I probably won't use the 'waterproof cover' that's included with the packaging (it's basically just a sheet of nylon material that goes over the top with holes for the handles, not necessary in my small car; maybe for carrying out in the rain?) but it's a nice addition. Also, love the little adhesive pad that comes with the organizer, it seems pretty strong; I'll stick it on my dash later. I put some items in the organizer for size comparison (some of which were bought on Amazon, links down below). Overall, nice product, well-made and definitely useful! The trunk storage container is shorter than expected but the exact measurements are given. It is perfect for small to medium sized tools and car wash items. I placed 3 bookbags with tools in the 1st 2 sections and it fit perfectly. For larger items such as my cordless power washer.....it really isn't doing the trick bit for everything else it was perfect. It contains, covers and keeps in one location most tools without having the sliding all over your trunk. If you need to store larger items, I would encourage you to measure 1st. If you don't measure 1st.... it is on you and don't complain. This is a great product for its size!I haven't purchased any other, but I purchased this one for the quality and versatility of the product. Velcro lined dividers, clips that allow for you to create a smaller carry case and outer case storage for often used tools. It is a very well thought through product for someone who often uses small tools or just needs common sense trunk storage.Why did you pick this product vs others?:They don't appear to be as sturdy as this product.

Great, sturdy, and versatile organizer. Fits perfectly in the back of my car. Holds a lot of stuff and is customizable to suit your needs.

It’s sturdy and roomy (large size with cooler). Cooler comes in handy for placing cool groceries if you have to travel or run around town. Unit Stays put. Wish straps were a bit longer we use it in the bed of a small pickup truck

Fortem I needed something to organizer my tools, sunshades, etc for my 2016 Willys JK and this Fortem organizer works perfectly. It is the exact size to fit between my back seat and the rear door of my 2-door Jeep. I still have room on either side of the Fortem organizer for some other storage. This is very sturdy, holds exactly what I need it for, and looks great too!

Easy set up. Love the velcro on the bottom, so it won't slide around. Plenty of space. Trunk looks now organized

I bought this for our RV to help organize the underbelly storage mess.PROSHolds more than it looks like it will.You can add or remove the center dividers as necessary for flexible cubby sizes. This would be especially helpful when hauling groceries. My stack of leveling blocks fits perfectly into one of the square cubbies.Seems to be sturdy and well made.It has two straps with hooks that attach with a removable clasp so you can secure it while the vehicle is moving.The cover stays in place securely with velcro running the entire length of the container on both sides to fasten it.It has so many exterior pockets for smaller items.CONSI plan on leaving this in the underbelly storage of my RV but I have to wonder how long it will last if it's used to haul things to and from the vehicle on a regular basis.It was a bit difficult to slide the rigid floor panels into place.With the floor panels in place it doesn't collapse. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I would have to remove the 2 bottom panels before it would collapse.For what i bought it for I'm very happy with the organizer. I've loaded all of my smaller RV necessities in it and it took up just over half the space.

Fortem car organizer is well constructed with plenty of room to put groceries/backpacks/car supplies etc. Front mesh pockets are also very useful for small items. Plastic panels allow for you to remove and fold up easily. Highly recommended as it is a quality product at a great price
