Exact replacement, better quality.
I had to choose this from the pictures and specs. I didn't want to have to re-engineer the whole speaker to fit new drivers. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for and when I pulled the old one out, I noticed that they were identical but the magnet structure, on the new one, was almost twice the size as the original. This is a GOOD thing. Anyway, the new ones sound different and better than the old pair. Back to blasting Hendrix.

Fits nicely.
A basic midrange replacement for my Infinity R3's the price was good so can't complain. The voice is much clearer now. There's no marking for pos or neg and both connections the same so modifications were needed for neg connection. And what's with the bent flange? Both were bent just like another that was reviewed. This must be a trademark thing. Maybe a little more padding in the box?

Affordable option for builders
I have been testing Goldwood sound speakers for a few months and have only found one I don’t like. The silk dome tweeters tend to distort with certain frequencies so they are now in case of emergency tweeters. The 8” and 6.5” woofers give me everything I want. They are in sealed 1 cubic foot boxes. I’m not an audiophile but I have friends that are and want me to build their towers now lol. The 5” mid is awesome and the 3” kapton tweeter is probably the most impressive. All mids and tweeters have been ran with bass blockers. Will be buying more to finish up surround sound.

Working nicely in an antique stereo that needed 5 inch midrange replacements
Speakers look nice but one arrived damaged - a bent outer frame brought to you by shipping. Since this is going into a space that no one will ever see I simply flattened out the frame and used it - so they get dinged for packing, it is not adequate to the heft of these speakers.Putting them on an ohm meter they look to have 5.2 ohm resting resistance. This should make them 6 ohm speakers, not 4. I did not ding them for this as I found their efficiency made up for the higher impedance and then some.I hooked them up to a L3 crossover circuit (1200 Hz point) and they sound nice compared to the old antique speakers I am replacing. The mid-range music is louder and more clear. The speaker efficiency seems to be pretty good. They are hitting as high a frequencies as this old stereo is likely to produce, so around 15K Hz I think. These are not audiophile speakers but they seem to be a great value speaker for many uses. If you are not hooking them up to expensive equipment than you likely will never notice the difference between this and a high end speaker.

Decent mid range speaker value.
Received on time. 4 ohm mid range, used to replace a blown outdoor speaker. Powered off a 100w Yamaha receiver. Mid range, sound acceptable.
