The characters are all picked from episodes of the show, but you need not have seen a single episode to enjoy the game. In the game, you are all Dexter- aka the serial killer- and you're trying to complete your murder and dispose of the body without getting caught. You must race through a series of tricky one way only lanes, hunting for your victims and the necessary weapons to kill them. There are times you wind up going in circles, and if you make the wrong decision, you could be trapped in a long loop for many turns. This game is more fun with multiple players, but can be played with just 2. There is a fair amount of strategy (navigating through the board efficiently, choosing who you should pursue and weighing the benefits of purposely blocking your opponents...) combined with a little bit of luck (curse the Dexter who successfully picks up all their weapons in the first hardware stores they visit!). Love love LOVE it! We haven't had time to put it away since we got it, because we keep playing it! Friends and family that watch Dexter (and even those who don't) love the game as well! It says only 4 players maximum can play, but if you find other pieces there is no reason you can't have more people play! Super fun, kinda dark, not for kids, but great for adults' game nights!
