3.0" Sashlock

I'm no chippy but I found this relatively easy to install. The reversible catch was really handy. It appears sturdy it operates well and I guess time will tell regards durability. I was pleased with the quality and price.

Good quality lock but spring pressure is on the low side, so ok with circular handles but heavy lever handles will droop and latch may not fully extend.. Had to open up the lock housing and place a spacer behind the coil spring for lever handles. As for material, only the latch is made of brass. Striker plate is brass plated steel.

Easy to replace the old door lock only 2mm bigger in longest part . 2 small screws to remove front plate so has too turn and reverse catch. brilliant idea 💡. The slot where the key goes has a round rotating ring bush at the top With slot if its turns slightly the key wont engage. a small screwdriver too line it back in position is all it needs without taking out the lock. A very strong and well made lock for its price. ime very pleased 😌

My reason for only giving this 4 stars is because. when it was delivered the lock had ot be taken apart to fix a the 'latch piece', which was loose. Minor irritation BUT not when it means you can have parts coming OUT of the open lock, spring loaded etc ! It took me over an HOUR to finally get the lock back to working as it should! ALSO DO remember, the 'locking plate,' is much bigger. than normal. Lastly the door handles need to be aligned BEFORE you secure the lock in the door.
