Formlabs Form 2 SLA 3D Printer Complete Package

After just over a year (a couple of months after the $499 "pro support" ran out) the PreForm software insisted that I download a firmware update. It will not install the update. The printer keeps saying there is an encryption error. Now I can't print. I use this printer professionally. I will no longer do so. It is now a paper weight. Formlabs will only discuss another $499 expenditure from me to fix their error. Look elsewhere for a printer.

Horrible customer service with this machine. We purchased a machine and after a year of working a drive motor went out. We paid to have it fixed but instead they shipped a refurbished replacement machine that still hasn't worked since the day we received it after a month of going back and forth with FormLabs. They have refused to replace the machine and instead have had us running through this test or that test costing us hours and hours in man hours.They want you to fix their broken machine that you paid them to fix

Buyer Beware: This is not the same product seen on formlabs page under the same name. IT IS NOT COMPLETE. You will get Formlabs basic package plus a little junk. Save yourself a $1000 dollars and buy directly from them. By the way you cannot return this product once you have figured out you just got ripped off.

The printer is okay, but as others have said, the customer service and technical support is HORRIBLE. Without the promised support, the things are better used as anchors and door stops.

I want to love this printer, but I can only give it 3 stars. Ive had a lot of successful prints, and very few failed prints. But that's when the printer is working. Its when the printer isn't working that it ruins my life. I use this for business and when there are problems it stops me and I have to figure out why the LCD screen randomly stops working, or why the printer wont connect to wifi, or why the firmware wont update, or why there is an error code, or how to fix a random problem with the optics. For almost $5000 you only get email customer support so when you have problems it can take a while to fix. My last optic problem took about a week to fix over email support and ended in me sending the printer back. Ive have had to send two printers back and I had to purchase the pro plan to expedite that process so that I could get back to work. The resins are very expensive and are only sold in a few places. This printer has changed my life but also has caused me a lot of problems

Horrible machine, tech support is nearly useless. Parts come out not square, not fully printed, and not to dimension. we went through 5 machines in less than a month. their castable resin is anything but castable, when you inquire how they came about their burnout cycles they dont know and when you ask for more details they tell you they are not experts in lost wax casting and that what they have posted on their website are more of a starting point and you are on your own

Incredible machine. Easy to use, very efficient. Quality is also very high. The resin tank makes it way to easy to use and no messy resin pouring.Machine is not silent, so don't print at night if near your bedroom.

Worst seller and garbage product. Buyer beware!
