Herschel Nova Backpack, Ash Rose, Mini 9L

Good quality and beautiful

I was looking for a mini backpack that could hold a fair amount of items yet didn’t look as sporty as it did classy- this fits the bill. I ordered the ash rose color which reminds me of a dusty rose color, it’s very feminine yet muted not to draw too much attention.I can fit a 16oz water bottle, wallet, small zip up bag with various items, my phone, and keys.Previously I had tried out the carhart mini backpack in the dark green color. I ended up sending it back and going for this one because the zipper was more difficult to use and it wasn’t quite as classy as this one.

This is a great bag-I bought it to take on vacation as my purse. It’s nice and roomy inside-big enough for a wallet and a water bottle. The only downside is the metal zipper which is a bit hard to zip and unzip. I rubbed some olive oil on mine and that helped a lot with getting the zipper to glide more smoothly.

I ordered this backpack to take on my Japan trip. I remember reading Herschel producing good durable products and after my experience with it, I can vouch for it. I had this backpack with me everyday while in Japan. It took a good beating, since I had to open and close it several times during the day, since it carried bottles of water, gifts and souvenirs, and hand sanitizers, soap and hand cloths. There were days it was overloaded and still held on bathroom stall door hangers fine. The larger double top handles of the pack was great since I had to hold my backpack in front of me while on the train. The only negative was that the zipper didn’t have the cover lip like other backpacks, and I scraped my hand and nails on the thick teeth. However, it was a beast of a backpack, dries quickly like when I had to pull my hand cloth out of bag with my wet hands, and I love the color I ordered: Dusty Cedar, which is like a dusty rose. They had a lot of colors, but I wanted something neutral but still stand out. Get a Herschel, they’re great.

I’ve had this one for about a year now. It’s traveled with me overseas, it’s been with me on hiking trips, and as my everyday purse to and from work.I’ve ran it through the washing machine and shoved it in my work locker a hundred times. This thing is sturdy!!! And it’s so cute. I’d say it fits every item you need while you’re out and about. I keep my wallet, phone, full size hairbrush, lipstick, gum and vitamins, and still have room for a water bottle. I love it!!!

Very well constructed, high quality. This bag is way too small for my intentions. I wanted something lightweight that could carry a small drink, a small lunch pack, and my phone. After you get those items in there was very little room for anything else in the interior pocket. As one reviewer stated, the outside pocket is an absolute waste. Because of the tab zipper edges you can’t get a regular size iPhone in – I have the 6S plus. If you were looking for a teeny weenie backpack though this is it-very cute. Back it went.

Much better quality than most bags this size on Amazon, and at a reasonable price compared to designer brands. Perfect for a gift.
