Deluxe Beef Stroganoff Pasta 155 g

I am addicted to this stuff. It is a low cost way to spruce up hamburger meat and makes it a filling meal!

Ok, this is my new favorite! I prepared as directed on the box, but I doctored this a little bit. While cooking the meat I added garlic powder, onion powder, dehydrated dices onions, dash of salt, and a generous amount of black pepper. Cooked it all up and drained the fat. I then added fresh sliced white mushrooms to the mix and cooked the meat with the mushrooms a little longer, just until the mushrooms started to change color. I then added the wet ingredients, but I replaced a little bit of the water with Worcestershire sauce, about 1/8 cup, for some added depth. I then added the pasta and sauce packet to the meat mixture and cooked this all together until pasta was just al dente. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! Creamy and full of rich flavor! I just bought more boxes to have this on hand! Try my ingredient hack for this dish! You will not be sorry you did! You can decide how much extra spices you want to add to the mix to suit your taste. A teaspoon to a tablespoon of garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder, about 1/4 cup of dehydrated onion, and just small amount of salt as cream sauce packet contains sodium already. You could also dice up some fresh white onion and cook with the mushrooms and meat mix instead of using onion powder, and you could also use fresh garlic in place of garlic powder while cooking the meat. Your choice! :)

I have no idea what the "deluxe" means. I didn't even notice it in the title, a marketing ploy to charge more for a product. It's just a variety to me. Maltodextrin is in here !? It's a highly processed starch with a 110 glycemic index score (worse than sugar). Cornstarch is here so why add that too. Processed food is a buyer beware situation. You just gotta know. Supposedly it's serves 4?? 1/3 cup per. Look at a measuring cup, thats ridiculous. Since 1976 I get 2 meals out of this, no more. Pretty safe bet there was more in the box then too.I'm only eating for me, it tastes good & I'm not a cook. Judge for yourself accept the risks if you wish, I do. Never forget it's buyer beware.

This will forever be my favorite lazy day meal to make nothing else compares. I hate all other hamburger helpers lol I throw in a spoonful of garlic, chop up some onions and put green beans in it. My husband and I love it with ground chicken as well
