At first I thought it was defective, because it would only show the status of the batteries, but not charge them. Then I asked chatgpt what the problem could be and it was that I was using a dinky little 15w charger and it needs a real charger around 30w plus. Note: it does not come with a charging brick. So, I grabbed one from my bucket of bricks and it charges just fine now and gives the charging status as well. So, maybe this has high return rates due to people just using a small brick when it can handle higher wattage.

Great charger, build quality is great, and has a little weight so it doesn't slide around on the table it is set on.*IMPORTANT* this charger will only work with a 60w charger or higher.

DO NOT BUY! Trust the negative reviews. This charger worked great for about a week. Then it started having trouble and would only work intermittently, and it eventually died now it does not charge anything. It shows all batteries as completely full regardless of the type of charge cord connected I have tried 100W 60W 30W and everything in between and cannot get this thing to work anymore. Smallrig is usually so good but this product has not undergone any quality control.

Needed this as it was easy to pack in travel and be able to charge 4 batteries at the same time… I have 8 batteries and to have 4 on “cook” so to speak means I can make it thru a day of filming without waiting

This charger is extremely useful; the fact that you can charge four batteries at one time is clutch! Its small footprint and functionality make this a must-have accessory for photographers!

I love the concept of a quad battery charger if you're like me you go through batteries fast when recording videos! I really like that it's USB-C powered so it's definitely mobile and practical in that sense

I purchased 2 of these chargers, one to leave at home and the other to travel with. They won’t charge the Sony brand batteries. I threw 4 on the charger overnight and none of the battery statuses changed. I took those batteries to the actual Sony charger, and they all showed half charge. I tried multiple USB C cables, including the one it came with and plugging it into a brick instead of just the USB spot on my power strip…now the charger wont even show its charging (it sometimes shows the power on sequence). I have a ton of SmallRig parts and gear, so I was very hopeful for this charger. I even threw the boxes away when they arrived because I knew I loved this brand. Extremely disappointed and now I can’t even return…
