Great!
Title: Exceptional Tone and Quality Craftsmanship I recently upgraded my 3/4 size violin with the Thomastik-Infeld 135B.34 Dominant Violin Strings Set, and the difference in sound quality has been nothing short of remarkable. The first thing that struck me was the warm and rich tone produced by these strings. They offer a full-bodied sound with excellent projection, making my violin truly come alive. The Dominant series is known for its versatility, and these strings live up to that reputation, delivering equally well in classical, folk, and contemporary genres. The craftsmanship of these strings is evident from the moment you start playing. The materials used are of the highest quality, and the winding is impeccable. The strings are also responsive and easy to play, allowing for nuanced expression and dynamic range. The responsiveness to bowing techniques and finger articulation is particularly noteworthy, enhancing the overall playing experience. One of the key advantages of the Thomastik-Infeld Dominant series is their quick settling time. After the initial stretching period, these strings stabilized remarkably fast, allowing me to enjoy their optimal performance sooner than expected. This is a significant convenience for musicians who want to achieve their desired sound without a prolonged break-in period. Additionally, the durability of these strings is impressive. They have proven resilient to changes in temperature and humidity, maintaining their tone and playability over time. This longevity adds to the overall value, considering the investment in high-quality strings. While the Thomastik-Infeld 135B.34 Dominant Violin Strings Set is priced at a premium compared to some other options on the market, the exceptional tone, craftsmanship, and durability make them well worth the investment for serious musicians. Whether you're a professional or a dedicated student, these strings can elevate the performance of your 3/4 size violin to new heights. In my experience, they have become an essential component of my setup, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-tier violin strings.

There's a reason these are the standard
With an easy playability, a balanced sound, rich tone, good projection, and great tuning stability, these are the strings we always end up coming back to. They aren't the most durable strings in the world, it's true. They last on the bottom end of the average for how long strings typically last (120-130 playing hours.) But they're just better than others we have had, and there's a reason these are the strings others are compared to.

Suspect quality
I bought these strings for my son’s 3/4 violin based on a recommendation by his music teacher. Almost 6 months to the day and the A string is unraveling. He has been playing for about 2.5 years and has never had a string fail yet and all of those were of supposedly lower quality and much older (he has had only well-used instruments up to this point). We are very disappointed to say the least since it seems like the single replacement string is going to run $20 or more with shipping and will put his violin out of commission for 1-3 weeks.

Great but A string was not quite right.
We bought these Dominant strings to replace strings on a 1/8 violin. Teacher recommended Dominant and I have used them as a child. But, the A string sounded "tingy" to us compared to what was on there before. Since we bought the violin new and didn't know what was on there before, I had to find out. I didn't want to spend another $50 or more for strings on a violin she will soon outgrow, but even my 7 year old doesn't like the sound of this Dominant A string as much as the other. The teacher made some adjustments that made it sound better, but it wasn't better than the last. So, I used a violin String ID Color Guide to find out what violin strings were used before. Turns out, her violin was using a cheaper set of strings less than half the price - D'Addario. Needless to say, I was surprised. Am I switching? I'm considering it; though, I'm not sure if this Dominant A was just a "bad A".
