Equilibrium Transformative Cleansing Balm

I've been using this for the past two months and I've really enjoyed it! Hourglass is a great brand, and their Equilibrium Transformative Cleansing Balm is no exception. I wear several skincare products, a bit of makeup, and several layers of sunscreen on my face daily, and I need an effective cleanser at the end of the day. This cleansing balm is lovely! It has a pleasant, herbal scent that would be suitable for everyone. My husband likes it as much as I do! Cleansing balms are used on dry skin. This balm easily breaks up everything on my face. It rinses cleanly without leaving any residue. My skin doesn't feel stripped afterwards, and there has been no irritation. It feels hydrated, but not greasy. This arrived in a nice clean white box with black print, with a similar 3oz glass jar and spatula. The minimalist aesthetic is lovely and unisex, and would make a nice gift for skincare enthusiasts. It's definitely a good value!

I don't need to use this everyday, but I use it when I feel like I need to deep clean or when I've worn more makeup than normal. It's a nice treat when I do choose to use this because it feels like something a little extra special. Comes with a cute little spatula to dispense the product.

I could see this working really well paired with micellar water—use the micellar water to clean up the precision work while applying your makeup, then let this balm handle the heavy lifting at night. Overall, it’s a solid cleansing balm that balances effectiveness and skin comfort.

I love all Hourglass products, and this high-quality cleansing balm is no exception. It's gentle, doesn't strip my skin, and effectively removes all of my makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day. My skin is always left soft and completely cleansed. I love that the ingredients are clean and that the scent is natural and extremely subtle. I highly recommend this cleansing balm.

I've been a long time user of ponds cold cream for cleansing and makeup removal. I thought I'd try this more expensive brand out to see if I liked it better. It feels similar going on, as in a little goes a LONG way. I wet a washcloth with warm after covering my face with the cream and used the washcloth to rub it off. My makeup came off easily, with mascara being a bit more stubborn but still came off with a bit more rubbing. This cleanser did not make my face feel dry at all afterwards, which is another plus. I don't know if I'd purchase again at this price point, but may watch out for sales.

I LOVE this cleansing balm! It removes everything - waterproof mascara, liquid lipstick, eyeliner - everything! It emulsifies easily with water while removing all of my makeup without stinging my eyes. It doesn't leave a greasy film, either. When I follow up with a second cleanse, my skin is left soft without a single spot of makeup left behind - not even eyelash glue, which other cleansing balms can often miss. It doesn't break me out, it leaves my skin soft and smooth. It's a great cleansing balm that I would absolutely recommend!

Love cleansing balms, but don't use them as often anymore just due to trying to keep my skincare routine short and simple. This product seemed as though it would feel really nice and is marketed as more luxurious so I wanted to give it a shot. I really love using it when I'm removing makeup since the texture feels like it breaks it down and makes removal quicker. I really like this brand but had only previously used their makeup, after trying this product I definitely want to try more of their skincare. It smells good, feels great on the skin, and leaves my skin looking so healthy.

Update: Although I am still using this cleansing balm, it's been developing mold spots, a problem I've never experienced before (I'm in a dry climate with a non-humid bathroom). I'm just scraping them off and using the balm, but it's a little concerning. And yes, I've tried to keep it as hygienic as possible. Original: I am a huge Hourglass fan and have accumulated a large collection of lipsticks, foundations, palettes, and powders from them. This cleanser represented my first foray into their skincare line, and it's everything I would expect from the brand. The texture is unusual -- it's more like a wax than the lotions and liquids I'm used to. I scoop out a small amount, massage it into my skin, and the magic happens! My face is clean and soft. It's a large container and a little goes a long way, so although the price is high, I expect it will last a long time. The only downside is that large container -- too big for travel, whereas their moisturizer comes in a travel size (I'm planning to try that next).
