Miss Astronaut is Out of This World
Long time vintage Barbie fan here. Over the years I have purchased many of the reproductions, starting off with the first - the 35th anniversary doll but always end up getting rid of them as they just look 'off' next to my genuine vintage dolls. The previous American Girl hairstyle repro's have never been great in my opinion but this gal is a stunner, not 100% accurate but she doesn't look out of place with my 1960's Color Magics and American Girls. The packaging and overall presentation is so 1960s, more so than the previous Miss Astronaut repro. Get her now, while she is well priced. A great Barbie to unbox and redress too!

Very cute with nice details
Shes very beautiful, the space suit has a real zipper and buttons that you thread closures over which is so nice! My only critique is that I expected painted finger and toe nails on a doll in this style so was disappointed to find them plain. Her face is so beautiful and her hair washed very well, I only needed regular soap to rinse some gel out and the hair became soft while and stayed neat and tidy. I restyled mine to be more everyday but definitely enjoy the retro outfit more than I thought and will probably display her in such. If you are wondering, her body material is more repro style and not the Silkstone material so she doesn't have that weight to her, and her head only moves side to side. She has bend legs and the bend peg is exposed at the bottom of her feet as on the older dolls. I bought her with a voucher so paid less so happy with the bang for buck and the box art is stunning in real life.
