Great product
This is so good! You can physically see the difference between it and "normal" cinnamon you'd get at the store! It has a sweet almost bbq taste when you eat it but it's also still absolutely cinnamon lol very good value for the price!

Real Ceylon Cinnamon
When I received this item, it looked a bit dusty and I was wondering if it was original. It also didn’t give off that cinnamon smell but when I blended it, I could tell that it was the real deal. I love the way it broke off easily and wasn’t difficult to blend in my vitamix blender. I can also say that even though the smell is subtle, you still get the flavour and the health benefits of Ceylon cinnamon. It’s an acquired taste😀

At 1st I rated this a 1. And I will explain why.
Im not a fan that this product can't be returned... even if there is a major issue... but that's besides the point. At first I went from Cassia to Ceylon. Now people (Myself included) need to understand how different these products are. And after several weeks of using a more powerful and stronger Cassia... It felt like I recieved a spoiled/rotten/old fragile bag of tasteless Ceylon Cinnamon. But after sticking with it for 2 weeks, I've noticed it taste really good and gives you the extra properties and avoids the risks of liver + kidney issues. Which was the main reason I switched to Ceylon. It's just like getting use to having 3 sugars in a coffee, to have 0 or 1. Now that I am no longer tasting the strong Cassia version, I'm finally use to the Ceylon taste. And I have to tell you, both my mother and I approve. My mother uses the powder in her coffee instead of sugar. And I simply chew on the Ceylon sticks which helped me quit smoking. Everytime I had a craving... Id bite a piece of cinnamon. Never thought I'd be eating tree bark 3-4 times a day. It's a legit product. And I wouldn't doubt it if many people who gave it a bad review had the same issue of comparing it to a completely different product. The point is to increase metabolism, help with diabetes... and gain important nutrients.

These are legit ceylon cinnamon (multiple thin layers, a hint of citrus smell)
PREPARING CEYLON CINNAMON TEA 1) Break up one 5" stick per 4 cups cool clean water. (i break it in half and then separate the layers. You don't have to break it up if you want to make removing the stick easier later.) 2) Cinnamon sticks have to be slow boiled to extract all the Cinnamon, so bring the water to boil slowly, setting the heat setting to medium low(varies based on gas/electric stoves) electric i have to set it a little past medium or it will never boil. This usually takes about 15-25 minutes. Boiling fast will not brew the Cinnamon properly. Even after the water has come to a full boil, the color of the water is still only a pale yellow. 3) Boil rapidly for 5 minutes and then turn off the heat 4) Let it cool down completely (important step as this is when the oils release) cooling completely will make sure all of the oils are released, you will get that amazing cinnamon smell as it cools and the water will go from a pale yellow color to a deep red color. 5) Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the cinnamon stick. Little particles don't bother me as you eat it all when it's blended up for powdered cinnamon. (Discard used sticks as the oils are mostly if not completely used up.) Optional: You can add a little honey to it, it'll have a slight sweetness naturally, i drink it plain before meals to help with weight loss. I add clean water to end up with 4 cups of tea per stick used, as some water will evaporate during the process. I don't recommend reusing the sticks as this method gets all the good stuff out in one go. I use a dedicated pot for making the tea as it can be hard to get the cinnamon smell out of it.
