The drive is excellent, but must be formatted for Windows. The online User Manual for this drive (G-Drive) at westerndigital.com contains detailed instructions to perform this step. DO NOT BUY. This is not a SanDisk Drive. Mine crapped out in 3 months for no reason and SanDisc wont even take the calll. DO NOT BUY. It's not a SanDisk hard drive. This is a TERRBLE PRODUCT.
