Peg Doll Fairy Kit by Wildflower Toys

I got this for one of my kids. She just so happened not to be too interested in it. I ended up making them and then she loved the end result. She wants to try another set!

My kids had such a fun time with this kit! It has so much more material than the boxed kits you find in most stores. The only other note I have is that we ended up using hot glue and not the tacky glue included, but that’s mostly because my kids are too impatient to wait for tacky glue to dry, so I don’t actually know how well the included glue holds up.

It had the wrong instructions with it.

I purchased this kit for my five year old daughter. We put the fairies together and she loves them.

This was a fun activity to bond with friends and wine. It was challenging enough to spark our imaginations, yet easy enough for us to catch up. We bought acrylic paint and painted them also. We all had a great time.Looking for another project like this to do on another girls weekend.

I debated giving this 1 star, but ultimately decided to give it 2 starts because the concept is good, it's just that this kit is misleading. My 7 year old daughter loves making peg dolls and has basic sewing skills, as do I. However, when we opened up this kit, expecting to find most of the fabric items able to be glued on, we discovered that we had to sew almost everything. The hat had to be shaped and sewn, the belt had to be sewn on, the wings, etc. That would be fine, except that wasn't listed in the product description, and there were NO instructions. You just had to figure it out on your own. My daughter is frustrated and I have a bunch of useless glue covering my fingers. I would think this would be a good craft for much older kids/teenagers and adults, but not children (unless you sew everything for them). However, I am very disappointed in this product as the description makes it sound like you can glue most of the items on, and do only basic sewing. Also, I am very upset that the makers of this kit did not provide instructions as to which items were what, what needed to be sewn, etc. The only instructions given were to sew in the provided holes, and to illustrate how to do three basic stitches. I wouldn't waste your money on this kit.
