Good Budget Friendly Bag
I think this is a great entry-level backpack, especially if you're looking for a budget-friendly option. Teton has done a good job designing a pack that's easy to use, durable, and offers a lot of value for the price. If you're new to backpacking or don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on your first pack, this is a solid choice. That said, fit is everything when it comes to backpacks, and that's where I ran into issues. I'm 5'6" with a short torso and a more pronounced curve in my lower back (what I jokingly call a "shelf butt"). Even with the torso adjusted to its shortest setting, the frame was still a little too long for me. Once I loaded the pack with about 15 pounds, the bottom of the frame dug into my lower back and became uncomfortable. The shoulder and adjustment straps also feel like they're made from a lower-grade webbing. They don't slide smoothly when tightening and tend to make quite a bit of noise compared to higher-end packs. One thing I think is important to mention: don't judge the fit with an empty pack. Mine felt perfectly fine until I added weight. If you're trying one on, load it with at least 15–20 pounds before deciding whether it fits your body. Finally, I think expectations matter. If you're comparing this pack to premium brands that cost three or four times as much, it will feel pretty basic—almost like comparing a burlap sack to a luxury backpack. But that's not really a fair comparison. When you compare it to other entry-level, budget-friendly packs in the same price range, the quality is actually very good. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable backpack, as long as they take the time to make sure the torso length fits them properly under load.

Great bang for your buck
Pros- Lots of pockets, adjustable, rain cover is nice, and it’s a lot cheaper than some similar types of bags. Cons- Slightly heavier than you’d want, but not a huge deal on shorter trips. The waist strap is pretty stiff. We will see about longer term durability because the bottom pouch area on the inside is starting to fall apart near the zipper. I have only used this thing twice and nothing crazy weight wise has been out in there. I can easily sew this part back but it’s a tad concerning

Great backpack
I absolutely loved this backpack... the number of pockets and size was everything I wanted! I loaded it up for a 3-day hike, and it was comfortable on my body even though it was not specifically made for someone with a shorter torso (I'm 5'4" woman and usually buy S/M packs). Sadly, I didn't use it for the reason examined below. My only hang up for this bag was the material -- worried about durability and my ability to repair it. I had a backpack made of similar material and it was a beast repairing holes/rips. Maybe I just didn't have the right technique to fix the rips but my frustration with that bag scared me off of this pack. I literally scoured the internet looking for a 65L backpack that was just like this one but made of a more durable (and repairable) material. Found something similar (but not as fabulous as this pack with all of its pockets/space) and ultimately went with that backpack. Even though I returned this pack, I have recommended it to others because of the price, the fit, and the pockets!! Of course shared my worries about the material even though it may never ever need repairs.
