V.A.The Premium Best Miki Matsubara

Miki Matsubara is an absolute treasure. This CD set was exactly as advertised and a great collection of songs. Ms. Matusbara had a beautiful voice and this appears to be a decent representation of her catalog.As someone who grew up in the U.S. during the 80s, having "new to me" music from that era is great. The music does a great job of evoking nostalgia due to its familiarity (yep, that's an 80s tune) yet seem new due to not being familiar with the songs or language. Highly recommended if you're interested in expanding a physical collection of "City Pop" on CD.

I first discovered Miki Matsubara's song "Stay with me" on youtube and fell in love with the song. I've listened to "Stay with me" for at least 50 times before I decided to buy this premium best cds. After listening to all the songs on the cd, I was happy with the decision I made. She is a great singer! I hope more people will discovered her songs like I did! Highly recommended.

Great songs, two discs, pretty packaging too

テレビで何度も放送されているので見たらわかる。

当時持っていたCDが焼けてしまったのでまた松原みきの歌声が聴けて嬉しい。

話題になっていたので購入しました。

松原みきと言う人は、私にとってはNHK-FM『午後のサウンド』のDJで、ビリー・ジョエルやローリング・ストーンズ、クイーン、レッド・ツェッペリン、そして当時流行っていたW.A.S.P.、マダムＸ、トゥイステッド・シスターなどを聴かせてくれた人です。中学生だった私は当然これらのレコードを買う金などなく、FMでオン・エアされた楽曲をカセット・テープに録って聴いていました。　と言う訳で私にとって洋楽の先生だったみきさんの歌が、発表から40年以上経った今、世界中の人々に聴かれていると知り、ビックリ仰天しました。完全なる逆転現象です。ミック・ジャガーやキース・リチャーズ、ロバート・プラントやジミー・ペイジもこの事を知っているのでしょうか？　だから尚更早過ぎた死が惜しまれるのですが……　DJとしてのみきさんはほとんど自分の曲を掛けなかったので、大半の曲を今回初めて聴きます。知っている人の知られざる側面を見る思いです。ハスキーで切なさと苦さを含んだアルト・ヴォイスで、話す時の印象とかなり違っています。生前の彼女がこれらの歌を後世に残したがらなかったのは何故かわかるような気がします。これは図らざる真情の吐露なのです。

実力歌手が多い時期の個性派です。改めて時代を感じない歌声です。
