i had low expectations of this product since my 14-year-old male ginger cat didn't have a UTI, but a blocked urethra so that even though his bladder was full, he was unable to use the litter box. instead, drops of urine escaped, and he was constantly licking to catch it. i took him to the emergency vet and they recommended that a catheter be inserted together with a hospital stay of 3-4 days costing 5-8 thousand dollars. furthermore, they said this might well need to be repeated in the future. there was a cheaper option which i chose, to drain the bladder with a needle and syringe. it was called a hail mary procedure because it wasn't expected to cure the problem, and it didn't. so after several days i returned to the ER expecting them to recommend euthanasia. instead, a vet manually emptied the bladder and noted the urine stream seemed pretty good while he did it. they sent me home thinking this would solve the problem, but it didn't. kitty seemed close to successful peeing, but for some reason he was not quite there. A few days went by, and I was again worried about euthanasia, so i began to search if there was any medicine that might help, and i saw this product, which amazon delivered same day. i followed the advice for an acute problem and gave him five drops (which is one dose) in a small amount of food every 15 minutes--the box says up to 6 doses, but i gave him 3 or 4 in the late afternoon before he was no longer hungry and then gave him two more a couple of hours later. in the morning, there was a healthy lump of pee in the litter box. it was like a miracle! it's been three days, and he seems pretty normal, producing a big lump of pee each night and resting peacefully without having to lick his privates incessantly all night long. of all the meds i've ever given a cat, this is the easiest to use and the least objectionable. it doesn't seem to have a negative flavor -- no need to shove pills down. it's a marvelous product. i just wish i knew what exactly it did, e.g., reduce inflammation, fight infection, dissolve crystals (which an ultrasound showed my cat had). highly recommended, even with a blocked cat problem.

My cat and I just moved and after we moved into a new place one of her eyes started getting watery and I noticed she was meowing when she'd use the litter box. She's been on this for about a day now and her eyes are no longer watery and I haven't noticed any crying when she'd go! Definitely works, just make sure you catch it when it's early! She didn't seem to mind the taste, it was rather easy for me but if you have a really fussie cat you might want to wrap them in a blanket and give them the drops like that, with my girl I can walk up on her from behind and grab her head and make it quick. The smell isn't awful, smells like some kind of medication for sure. It's small but for a cat they only need 5 drops and there's roughly 450 drops in total, so it'll last. Highly recommend!

This worked by the end of the day. I got home from work yesterday and my cat ran up to me and then acted like he was trying to go to the bathroom. He just stood there squatting like he was trying to poop. He's an older kitty and knows where his litter box is so I wasn't sure what was going on. Throughout the morning, he kept doing this behavior in different places throughout the house. Upon closer inspection I realized he was trying to pee but only a drop would come out. My daughter then told me it was probably a UTI or urinary tract blockage (her cat had this happen and the vet told her it was URGENT to get care as a cat can die within 24-48 hours if stuff gets backed up into their kidneys. With male cats UTI's can be a lot more serious). After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give this a try. I ordered it same day and it arrived within the first 3 hours. He's very picky about eating so I put 5 drops of this on his favorite kitty snack (Temptations) and dolled it out to him a few nuggets at a time, crushed up so he'd have to lick the bowl - and medicine drops - clean. I did this every 15 minutes for a total of 4 or 5 times per the instructions for urgent problems. I kept an eye on him and by the end of the day I noticed that he had two fresh clumps of peed-on litter in his box. Today is the next day and he is back to acting/peeing normally. I'm still putting 5 drops on his food when I feed him - twice a day - just to be sure - and I changed his food to a urinary health formula (Farmina N&D, Quinoa Urinary Duck Formula Adult Dry Cat Food) expensive as heck but he's my baby. It's really hard to get him to eat anything besides kitty crack (Temptations kitty treats, which is probably what gave him the UTI to begin with) but he likes the Farmina N&D. I don't know how this stuff works so fast but I am greatly relieved to be able to avoid what I'm afraid would have been a massive vet bill for emergency care.

It works. My cat was having difficulty urinating to the point of straining to go. It'd only come out in bursts and since she had to push so hard she was also standing up, creating a mess to clean up. Gave her this and by the very next bathroom trip she was having a more steady stream. I was genuinely shocked how quickly we saw results.

Wanted to try something more natural for my cat who suffers from occasional UTI, which usually lasts about 7 to 10 days. I had a very difficult time trying to figure out the right dosage and how to administer this treatment. The information on their website is vague so I had to search through several sites to figure out the correct dosage. According one site, I was to give her 10 drops for her weight (5 for kittens) mixed with water every 30 minutes to an hour, no more than 3 times per day. Their site suggests putting the drops in the cat's water bowl... this didn't make sense as you can't force a cat to drink... so... I drew 2mls of water into a needless syringe from a small cup of water then while covering the open end of the syringe with my finger, I flipped it upside down to pull out the plunger and put 10 drops into the barrel with water, put the plunger back in slightly then mix the two in the barrel, flip, uncover the opening, push in the plunger to remove air from the barrel, open the cat's mouth and down the hatch it went. Not sure if this is correct but I would really like to know if there has to be an easier/better way. This treatment is clear and has slight alcohol smell but after mixing with water, the cat did not seem to mind it at all. Shockingly with just one full day of treatment, the cat's UTI seemed to have significantly improved the following day. She was not spotting and didn't seem like she was in pain so I did not continue the treatment. The following day she was spotting and again looked uncomfortable. I treated her for 2 more days and her UTI was cleared. I am not sure if this was just a coincidence as she was nearing the end of her typical infection duration but if this help her at all in speeding up the healing process, I would say this is a very good product. But I cannot confidently say this works at this point. I will treat her at the first sign of her next UTI and see how it works and will post the update here. I would say it's worth trying this at this point.

I have a cat that has had a really bad blocked UTI a year ago today. It was very expensive in the ER vet as well as you guys know. Well things have happened and we didn't have the money for another ER visit. I came on here looking for a miracle. After reading your reviews and searching and lots of reading. This product stood out with the reviews. I got it and started it right away. After a day he peed. I was thanking you guys and God and this awesome product. What I did was put water in a tablespoon with the drops and used a syringe to suck it off spoon. He took it with no issues. He is back to normal and hasn't left my side. I give him a dose everyday just to keep things flowing. Saved us a bunch of money. Thank you everyone and thank you Homepet. I'm trying your cough one just today on my dog. Fingers crossed. I have bought this repeatedly for my cat, who has been diagnosed with FLUTD. These drops has helped to prevent her from getting repeatedly UTIs. So I will keep buying it, it works for her.
