Excellent, hard working product
This was a surprisingly good hair mask and seems to have helped with my scalp.I bought to use along with the Wella sensitive scalp shampoo as I have been searching for, what feels like, since the *very* beginning of time, a shampoo and conditioner combination to help with my sore, itchy and flaky scalp. But to also combat oily roots and dry ends… an almost impossible task!!I have tried hundreds of products and most likely spent thousands, no exaggeration, on all sorts of combinations of this, that and the other. But nothing ever seemed to get it quite right.Anyway, finally I realised that my scalp was dry and it was producing the oil to try and compensate for the dryness which in turn was giving me the greasy roots. But using a conditioner near the roots only seemed to be making the greasiness worse, of course, and not really doing much for the scalp. So after a few more trial and error sessions, I came across this.As technically it isn’t a conditioner, I was interested as to whether it would cause even more oiliness, especially as the directions said to also apply to the scalp. So, prepared for an absolute grease bomb, I followed all the instructions on the shampoo and the mask, I gave it a go.Whilst on my scalp, I did feel that slight, refreshing tingle of menthol, but I couldn’t smell it though. This also happened with the shampoo too (which I have reviewed separately). After blow drying, I was quite pleased to see my hair nowhere near as greasy as it had been when using conditioner. In fact, it looked swishy and fluffy. So next day, a bit of grease, but again, nothing like what I was expecting. My scalp seemed a bit less irritated but not by much. But as it wasn’t making me too oily I decided to persevere.I washed again on day 3, same process and have continued like this for the past few weeks.I have to say that my scalp, genuinely, is around 90% less itchy and irritated. Also, very nearly, flake free.Oiliness, I think a bit also depends on hormones etc (for me as a woman), a lot less reduced compared to initial use. I could push it to 5 days without washing my hair, but I don’t just down to personal preference.I have now started using the shampoo and this mask, alternating between a regular shampoo/conditoner and trying to wean off it to see if my scalp has been repaired, restored or whatever you want to call it.If it has then I will be forever thankful to this mask and the shampoo. If it turns out that I just seem to have a sensitive scalp then I will, without a doubt, carry on with them.As the only negative I can say is that the mask is fairly pricey. So is the shampoo. But, if you really are suffering or have been for a long time, you will no doubt be willing to pay it anyway… I guess that is where they make their money, as apart from prescription treatments, which don’t respect the hair itself (as a woman this is an important factor to me) there really isn’t many options out there, believe me I’ve searched high and low!!Wella is also a trusted brand that is well known in the industry for putting its money into research and development of its products. It’s definitely a hard working hair mask. Especially when paired with the shampoo.I’d definitely recommend giving it a go.

The BEST For Sore Irritated Scalps!
I must've spend £100's over the years on shampoos and conditioners that claim to soothe irritated scalps. I was at the end of my tether with a burning sore sensitive scalp so I took a chance on this. What a relief I did. It instantly cooled my scalp and left my hair as soft as silk. I've since purchased the shampoo too which is a bargain if you buy the 1litre bottle.

Beware of old manufacture dates
I have purchased this several times without issue but the last one was contaminated. I buy it because it is fragrance free as I have an allergy. I used the last pot and there was a smell to it. I checked the ingredients to ensure it hadn’t changed and it was still fragrance free. I used it and it gave me a shocking rash and itchy scalp. The manufacturer date on the bottom was from 2021 whereas previous pot were manufactured this year or last. I suspect it has degraded over time, has been tampered with and contaminated, or completely the wrong product has been put into the pot. Before this experience I found the product quite good but this experience has scarred me, quite literally, with this rash. It’s all over my scalp, face, neck, chest and upper back (not so easy to photograph!). I have had to use steroid creams on my skin and solution on my scalp plus take antihistamines. Not what I expect when a product is labelled fragrance free.

Wella hair mask
I have very sensitive skin and can highly recommend this product. I use it as a normal conditioner and would be great if wella could make a daily conditioner so that I could use this as a pamper

Good for itchy scalp
I usually use wella for coloured hair but unfortunately I have started getting an itchy scalp, no dandruff but rather irritating, ( possibly dut to medication) I bought this hoping it would stop the itch and it has helped, so happy with purchase

Brilliant
I am very confused as to why it is described as a Dry shampoo when it definitely is Not. I use it after shampooing my hair as a wonderful Conditioner. Leave it on for five minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly. Leaves my feeling wonderful, not greasy. 😊
