This is my go to lip colour every single day now. I wear it with Maybelline Gone Greige lipliner every day. It's great on its own, paired with a liner and/or lipstick. It's a gorgeous cool toned brown (I hate when brown shades are too warm or orange). It also has a gorgeous chocolate/coffee scent when you first apply. It has lasted me ages too which is great. As a dad, I thought buying my daughter an e.l.f. Lip Balm would be a small, harmless gesture. Just a practical way to keep her lips from looking like she has trekked through the Sahara. What I did not expect was for her to wield this thing like it was Excalibur. Now every time we leave the house, there is a ten-minute lip balm ceremony in the mirror. She is swiping, reapplying and inspecting like she is preparing for a royal portrait. I am just standing there, holding the car keys, wondering if I should moisturise too. The scent? Apparently “amazing” – she now says it smells better than my Sunday roast (which is a bit insulting, considering I peel the potatoes by hand). The shine? So glossy that the neighbour’s cat got distracted and walked into the fence. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It is small, affordable and, most importantly, it makes her happy.
