Good quality works very well
I installed this on an 8 x 4 utility trailer along with a cable lift system. Both worked perfectly together for quick easy access and gate lift.

Works great once you figure out the instructions and by the parts you need.
Works great once you figure out the instructions and watch the you-tube video several times.....the trouble is that every frame is built different and mine is square tube construction. After several trips to the store for longer bolts and drill bits it came together. They sent the wrong bolts for the frame (not carriage bolts) Also there are three braces and the 2 outside ones have plastic bushings for the main rod but none the center one......

Well Made
It's a good set-up. Totally eliminated all the hassles of the weak factory locking device. You will have to make some adjustments and modifications, depending on the size of your trailer, but once properly installed you are set and it's not going to fail. As added security, I use a padlock if I'm travelling down the highway so there is NO WAY the pin can vibrate out of place traveling at highspeed for hours.

It's a DIY kit
I installed this on a 5x10 utility trailer with gate inside the rails. The instructions said how to install the side brackets for a gate on the inside but the brackets were not true 90 degrees. One bracket interfered with the gate the other was bent away with a large gap. I tweaked both in my press. None of the hardware in the kit matched the description, the kit came with very cheap metric hardware. It was short a bolt, one of the 8mm nuts was prestripped. I replaced the hex head hardware and all nuts as I went hardware from my stock. Then the crossbars are too long for a 5' gate. I had to cut 6" or so off the right side bar and redrill and tap. The instructions say to tap 1/4-20, I checked the flat head screws for the cross rod and they were 6mm so I tapped 6mm and did use those. Drilling and tapping a 5/8 round rod is not a trivial task for most. I did this on a mill so I could find and drill center and insure that the two tapped holes were 3/4" apart to work with the provided sleeve. The sleeve is very long, I believe the length of the rods could be shorter to work on trailers with 5' gates without modification. For the price it's still worth it to get the parts. Just don't expect to throw this on without needing additional hardware and modifications.

Great product; poor instructions
A friend and I installed this product yesterday on my 6 X 12 trailer. Pictures in the instruction booklet were of very poor quality and difficult to discern. No YouTube videos to assist so we scanned several pictures on the Web and was able to finish the installation. Now that it is installed, it will be nice to be able to release the trailer gate from one side. Also installed the Gorilla Lift system and the two work well together. The Jungle Jim instructions though - terrible.

Best investment
Rebuilt my 6x 10 utility trailer after it was bent while loading. Always had issues with securing the gate closed until now. Took a few times clamping everything in place to get all the components aligned but once I had it and bolted it down simple one hand one side operation. The only issue was one or two oh the hardware pieces weren’t right so I had to supply my own other than that no issues. Great design.

Great add-on to my trailer
I added the Jungle Jim Rapid Latch to my 12 foot utility trailer along with the Gorilla Lift. The latch that was mounted on the top rail of the trailer had to be cut off in order for the Jungle Jim and Gorilla Lift to work. I cut it off with a 4" angle grinder and a cutting blade. After that was removed, it was pretty straightforward. You have to drill a lot of holes for everything to attach, so plan on spending several hours on this project. I think it took me 3 - 4 hours to attach both to my trailer. I'm so glad I did. The trailer ramp is heavy, so the Gorilla Lift makes it so much easier to raise and lower. Now, I can just stand on the drivers side of the trailer, pull the handle on the Jungle Jim, and lower the ramp.
