Just another one that does not proform well..
Ran inside Large SUV for 2 hours in the shade.. Starting temperature inside per digital thermo-gun was 85.4.. After 2 hours inside temp was 87.6. The outside of the AC unit housing was extremely hot along with the exhaust hose. Do not recommend. Might work better if you have the ability to keep unit completely outside of Tent/vehicle.. But have my doubts.. Just not enough BTU cooling and not enough volume of Air flow..

We need to have a window heat outlet kit
The media could not be loaded. So far so good, just they need to attach a heat vent outlet hose to it so that we the drivers can put it inside our Vans, truly I like it.

Complete kit
This OUTOHOME Portable Air Conditioner is 5200BTU and 400W. The kit comes with everything you need for set up. I am confused though by the conflicting information that this is for outdoor use only, when it comes with a window insert for the venting hoses to attach to and the user manual has multiple references for indoor placement of the unit.

Excellent Portable AC
It may seen terribly impractical to try to keep cool when the conditions are hot and humid; it would seem that this would be a futile endeavor. You'll be surprised at how well this portable AC can keep you comfortable outdoors. This is a great machine, that can make you comfortable even when your environment is hot and humid. It performs equally well inside or out, and at 31 pounds, it's easily portable to where you need it most. Even when it is humid and you need to hook up the drain tube, it's simple and easy to do. And it works FAST. With 5200 BTUs, this is comparable to a small window AC, though much quieter. You should watch some of the accompanying videos if you want to really understand the unit's versatility. It can be hooked up in such a way that, if you are camping, the unit itself is outside the tent with just the tubes blowing cold air into the area you want cooled. You'll need to watch a video to figure this out.One tip. This machine is all over Amazon. Be sure to look at the other listings and get the best price, because it can vary by several hundred dollars for the exact same unit.Highly Recommended.

This product should be recalled
It leaked refrigerant fluid all over my carpet, heavily staining my carpet. I returned it and filed a report with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This product should be recalled. Also, the instructions are not very clear and are difficult to follow.

Great cooler
Works perfectly in my garage, but camping trips required a massive power. Stick to outlets or beefy generators for reliable off-grid use. Didn't come with window attachments.

No hose, no remote, no manual.

Lots of good
I picked up this one as an upgrade off a prior model. Same Btu rating. This one is a much lower wattage rating and a 2-hose design. On paper, wins over the older model all around.Plugged it in and started it up. The compressor is quieter, another win. Doesn't have the huge start up surge that the older model had, yet another win. But it just didn't feel as powerful. It's running on about half the wattage, but the claimed Btu is slightly higher. So I ran them both in the same room at the same time. Thermometer on the vents, both the hot and cold side. The old model was doing a much better job of moving the heat. Nearly 10° colder vent temp and exhaust was about 15° hotter.Wanting to make sure it wasn't bad I wrote the seller and asked about the performance compared to the older model. This is what I got back...Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback about our product. I truly appreciate you taking the time to provide your insights.Regarding your experience with the cooling performance, I’d like to clarify a key difference between our older and newer models. While both devices belong to the same brand, they utilize different compressors:Older models feature the Secop Danfoss compressor, known for robust cooling output.Newer models are equipped with the GMCC compressor, recognized globally for its high energy efficiency, innovative technology, and eco-friendly operation.Under moderate temperatures, the GMCC compressor operates at a lower power level (typically below 300W) to prioritize energy savings. This may result in less intense cooling compared to the older model during milder weather. However, during extremely hot conditions, the compressor automatically increases its power output to enhance performance. This shift aligns with our commitment to sustainable innovation—balancing powerful performance with environmental responsibility. The GMCC compressor allows us to deliver advanced efficiency while reducing energy consumption. We understand your expectations and are here to assist further. If you have additional questions or need support optimizing the device’s performance, please don’t hesitate to reply.Thank you for choosing our products!Best regards,OUTOHOMESo in the end, how do I really feel about it? I still feel the performance isn't as strong. But the reduced power consumption more than makes up for it. If I really needed more power, bigger and more powerful does exist. It was my choice to get the smaller unit. For the power consumption, it is good cooling. Add in the twin hose design that can be used on either the hot or cold side that further makes for a more efficient air conditioner. If you don't know about a 2-hose design, it prevents wasting conditioned air and using it to cool the unit and blowing that air outside, or make the unit work harder by taking in outside air and forcing it to be cooled. The 2-hose design takes air from the room that it is cooling and returns it to the room without trying to use it to cool itself. Or put the hoses on the hot side and take in outdoor air and add heat to that and send that back outside. Just an overall better design and you should always take a 2-hose design over a single hose no matter what.If this had the same punch as the prior model and all the upgrades, this would be a 5+star rating for all the upgrades. It is still effective. Way more efficient. But just lacks that ice cold vent temp that the older models have. That one item dings a single star.A little more info, the power rating is 400 watts. There may be times where it could pull that. I've only been pulling upper 200 watt range. This should be very adaptable to the vanlife crowd. Small enough that it could be tucked into a cabinet. The 2-hose design keeps from sucking in outside air as it runs. The wattage is low enough that a decent solar/battery package shouldn't have any trouble running this.
