Alot of people say it heavy.....is it heavy to push while operating?

Thank you for your interest in ProTeam products. Our ProTeam ProForce 1500XP Upright vacuum weight is 18 lbs. with a handle weight weight of 4.7 lbs. Generally, when using an upright vacuum you feel just the handle weight. The vacuum weight is felt if you are carrying the vacuum. There are two spots to hold the vacuum, the top handle assembly and the carry handle which is located lower on the body at the back. By using these two handles, the weight of the vacuum should be distributed so that you are not feeling all the weight in one location. We have videos available on You Tube showing how to use the vacuum, called "Operation of Upright". Our You Tube channel is proteamvacuums. This will show you how to carry the vacuum properly. How many rpm does the brushroll spin at? it seems to be a top secret piece of information, because i can't find that answer anywhere

I've looked through all of our literature a for the specifications on this machine and the RPM is not listed. I then called ProTeam customer support directly to locate this information and they don't have it indicated anywhere either. I even tried to locate the RPM rating on the replacement part for the brush motor, but it is not listed either. Sorry.

does the brush roller retract when cleaning hardwood floors?

There is a setting on this model of vacuum that will shut off the brush roll motor to allow for hard surface cleaning.
