Professional cassette tape
I have always preferred TDK to any tape on the market, largelybecause of it's smooth transport mechanism. Although many userslike Maxell, I think the TDK Pro SM60 is my overall choice sinceMA60 has become unavailable. I use two decks, a Teac W-860R anda Pioneer CT-W 606DR, in a home studio for practice sessions witha Southern Gospel trio.

Not bad if you are recording music.
I still record some music on cassette and this is not bad, but I find that Maxell II high bias is best for Rock music.

Ace! I'll be ordering more.
I'm a hack wannabe rock and roll weirdo who has been into multitrack recording since 1981. On a lark I decided to blow some bill money on a Yamaha MT100II cassette 4-track I saw on Ebay for around $100. Near-mint condition, just as the seller described...Ennyway, I went on here seeking hi-bias cassette tapes. I chose the TDK SM60, since it seemed to be the most advanced, quality-wise, and, strangely, it was half as much as all the other slightly lesser-quality Type IIs to be found here. Also I wanted a shorter length than C-90, because multitracking involves much, much rewinding, f-forwarding, re-recording, etc. Hey, the union of the SM60 and the MT100II is a marriage made in Las Vegas or whatever. Excellent, sublime results. Love my digital Boss BR-800, but with this analog rig I can bake the tracks by sending the levels way into the red if I like for french-fried, antisocial punk rock results...My roommate, wife and I are having a lot of fun with this! Almost as fun as reading the ridiculous hate responses this review is going to elicit...xD

Good cassette
I use this tape with my old Denon deck. The high-end is well rendered, and the low end and midrange are better. For a tape with a brighter sound and more air, use Maxell XLII-S.

four track recording.
This is the only cassette tape that I have used that doesn't have any problems. The Sony tapes and Maxells or whatever always had recording interruptions. Made 4 track recording a real pain. Not so with these tapes. I wish I had been able to use them all along. Fast delivery of the tapes too. I will order more!!

These are the very best cassettes available...bar none.
You can't do better than this tape for critical recordings...a real bargain at $2.00 each. I've been using them for many years with terrific results on my dinosaur Tascam 8-Track cassette recorder. I could not be happier.

Used on Nakamichi Dragon. Tapes purchased Amazon.
Excellent.. recording and playback. However one must have a High-End Audio System to realize in many ways the soundquality is better than most of today's CDs.
