Challenging in a fun way!
Love a sudoku but found I’m not challenged enough - the samurai version has given the challenge I’m after, no more filling in without much thought 😂 Love the interactions of the middle su doku with the other four. Addictive!

Love it
Actually this is the second copy of this book that I have purchased. I have also bought the second series.Really good quality book with decent thickness of paper. Having tried several different Su Doku books I have found this by far is the best. Often you get puzzles that are impossible to do, not because they are hard but they have errors. This book has no errors.Samurai Su Doku is slightly different from normal Su Doku. There are 5 9x9 boxes. You have the central 9x9 square and this is linked by one of the 3x3 corners of the other 4 9x9 squares. This gives the puzzle extra trickiness and all the same fun as the normal Su Doku.In my opinion this book is a must for all Su Doku fans that want something more than just a 9x9 square boxes.

When will The Times bring out the next ones?
Samurai Su Dokus are wonderful! They are best done in bed whilst listening to the radio. They take (me, at least) a long time to complete and so there is no incentive to try to finish, just to find a few more answers.I have three unopened books at present and can't decide whether see if there are a few still available or live in hope that a new one - or two - will be published.

Hours of frustrating fun
Even though I skip the easier puzzles, this book gives me hours of frustrating, challenging fun

Good Puzzles
I love Samurai Su Doku. The only disappointment with this book is that when printed in the Times, they give each puzzle a time target, which adds interest and is good to aim for, but unfortunately this has been dropped here and now they just class them as medium, hard etc, which is meaningless.Other than that, the puzzles are good.

Keeps the grey cells ticking over
These are sufficiently challenging to keep me interested but not so hard you need to guess, even the most difficult in the book. This edition has better quality paper than Book 3 so you can erase mistakes if necessary and your pencil doesn't press through to next page.
