Why didn’t I buy one of these ages ago. Trimmed the hedge in a fraction of the time it normally takes, no ladder or steps required and a better job done. Battery lasted the whole job with the spare on charge just in case.

Generally very happy with these hedge cutters. Easy to use and quiet in use but I do agree with others who felt that they are rather heavy. It may be a lack of experience with this type of hedge cutter never having used a pole type before. I do feel that it is imperative to allow the shoulder strap to take as much of the weight as possible.Only used once but I would not go back to a standard hedge cutter again. The pole certainly adds a greater degree of safety as the cutters are well away from your hands and body.

I am delighted with this hedge trimmer. It simply does what it’s supposed to do.I needed a powerful trimmer that reached 2mtrs and not too heavy as I’m well into my 80’s.I am so delighted with the quality of this trimmer.Last year I was faced with a bill of £140 for less than an hours work by a man with a trimmer.For under £100 I now can do my own trimming.Delighted with this machine.

I'm unsure what I was expecting from this but unfortunately it's almost too heavy for me to use. The jury is still out but I just a few test trims of hedges and realised that it's nearly impossible to use without also wearing the shoulder strap and, really, it should come with a full upper body harness. As I type this, my wrists still feel weak. Everything else seems OK. It seemed to cut fine. The noise isn't excessive or ear-piercing. Because the cutting teeth are so far from the handle it can be hard to cut things at close quarters, because you always need to be around 5 or 6 foot away. I'd say you should probably combine this with a more traditional trimmer for the close-up work.

Cheap tat!Used twice got it out after winter it would not work.. it’s either the battery or the motor. Was kep in dry shed . Simply busted with no apparent reason. If it’s the batteries (both of them) had a life span for charging once or twice in total.. either way it’s not worth a penny let alone so called reduced price of £89. Do not spend your money on this … buy something else!!

The whole system is good, It is light, easy to use and the blades are sharp. Extending it is easy, two batteries. A good price.However on the first time I used it on a yew hedge the blades jammed on a 8mm stem.( it should cope with at least 14mm according to the brief) From then on the motor started screeching. When this happened the blades slowed right down. I oiled the blades but it made no difference as soon as the blades are put to a hedge they slow down and the motor screams. This all happened in the first 10 minutes of use. I have checked other reviews and a lot of people have had the same thing happen.There are far more good reviews than bad so I am not sure why I got a duff model, It has been returned to amazon for a refund. I liked the system but I cannot recommend it because the one I had was so short lived.

Wow you get a lot of kit for the money, gloves, goggles, Alan key, metal disc blades, plastic grass blades, a metal cord for harder wood etc, 2 batteries, shoulder strap and a charger. Absolutely bargain at this price.It's a powerhouse piece of garden kit, with a fully adjustable shoulder support strap and safety features. Amazing amount of choices for how you need to tackle garden yard work.Even though it's a sturdy machine in its own right it feels light enough but at the same time strong so that all kinds of gardeners could use it safely and comfortably with practice.I would suggest that you purchase suitable safety footwear as it spins very fast and if you are using the metal blades safety must be paramount. It really is not for the faint hearted.I've only just received it and the inclement weather means I can't see it in action but I believe it will more than tackle the jobs I need doing.

I've had this hedge trimmer for a couple of years and it has been very useful. The reach is excellent and it is light enough for use at length to be reasonably comfortable. The trimmer still cuts well after two years.Without referring to the tech spec, I would say the battery lasts a decent amount of time and charges quite quickly. I also have the equivalent standard trimmer and the fact they both use the same battery is very handy. One issue I have had is the thread going on the screw knob used to extend the trimmer - this has now happened twice and, whilst not exactly expensive to replace, it is frustrating.
