FRESH BABY LLC So Easy Baby Food Freezer Trays w/Lids 2 set

These are made of very sturdy plastic and hold just the right amount of liquid. I used mine for breast milk.The lid is close fitting which means you have to be careful not to overfill the cubes otherwise clipping the lid on would cause spillage.The main reason for 3 stars is the difficulty in getting the cubes out! No amount of banging, shaking or picking at worked. I ended up holding the tray over a steamy kettle to loosen them. The problem with this is it is not just ice it is breast milk! For the ones I needed fine but how to be sure others haven't partially defrosted then re frozen?! Would benefit from a silicon bottom to the tray.

Great storage for freezing baby food and breast milk. Easy to use. I like that they have a lid, so the food won't take taste from other things in the freezer and it makes them easy to stack.

Good for freezing portions of baby food, but really hard to get the food out. I end up with most of it on the floor.

The trays are ideal for a tiny baby I guess but any normal baby is going to need far larger trays. The cubes are also really hard to get out once frozen

Best way to get cubes out is to put clean tea towel on table then basically thump (I mean really thump!) tray hard onto tea towel. Cubes will come out in 2-6 thumps depending on contents. Pop them into freezer bags and put bags back into freezer - saves space in freezer and saves having to thump every time you want 1 or 2 cubes. This is the only way to get cubes out without damaging tray or slightly defrosting contents! It's a bit of a pain but the rigid tray means the tray will last!

I really like the concept, but once the cubes are out and in a ziplock bag, they take almost as much space in your freezer as do normal breast milk storage cups. This was a bummer for me, as I was hoping to save some freezer space.I think a rectangular shape of the cubes would have worked better .. Look up Milktrays, if you are desperately in need of saving freezer space.I didn't buy those as they were ridiculously expensive, so I am satisfied with this one.Nevertheless, they are much cheaper than having to invest in dozens of bottles, or special storage bags.

Firstly and most importantly the compartments are not exactly 1 oz each. As I was hoping to freeze breast milk in 1 oz cubes so that I could easily take out exactly the amount I needed, this was not ideal. Especially as the description said they were!Also they did not fit in my microwave steam steriliser. Another downside.They were not very flexible and it was very difficult to get the lid in and then off and the cubes out. You need a lot of preparation and patience... Something I don't have with a newborn and lively toddler to look after.Basically these were just very expensive, regular ice cube trays.My advice would be to pop along to your nearest pound shop and pick up virtually the same thing for cheaper!

Good for the intended purpose but a bit bigger for the ice drawer in my fridge .Also one of the lids didn't fit properly.
