Nespresso Original Ristretto 36 pack

Absolutely hands down my favourite pods. Great smooth flavour, decent strength, recyclable pods and not had any fail so far. Compatible with both my L'or barista and original nespresso machine, very reliable quality. Decent price for a consistently great cup of coffee, my mornings wouldn't be the same without it!

I've never seen genuine Nespresso pods come in anything but a box of 10 before so this may be a new thing, it's certainly more convenient if you want lots of the same blend. The box is an easier size to store and especially to stack. For a while the Ristretto was the strongest coffee you could get from Nespresso, however in recent years they have expanded their strength scale and added a couple of stronger coffees, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is an intense coffee. If you are after an intense coffee then this will not disappoint, it is brewed with a thick crema which holds back some of the aroma until you take that first sip and then it hits you, the smell is almost enough to perk you up by itself but once the smooth espresso shot is swallowed, then Hello! you are awake. It is on the upper end of the bitterness scale but only enough to show you that this coffee means business. Overall, it does what it says on the tin, it delivers a punch that makes sure you are sitting up and paying attention, an excellent coffee.

Disappointed that the use by date is only 4 months

For me, the Nespresso Ristretto is the go to pod. I normally use a Sage Barista espresso machine with fresh beans, but sometimes if you're in a hurry, Nespresso capsules give you a quality, no hassle or mess experience. I find Ristretto to be a good strength, whereby if you take milk in your coffee, you can still taste the coffee without it being overly strong. I'm used to the capsules coming in a long box of 10, so it was a surprise to see this box of 36 in totally different packaging. It's good though as it takes less space to store. The coffee is as good as ever and the pods are recyclable

Ristretto coffee pods, what a great flavor these give, intense yet mellow at the same time, what I mean when I say mellow is that there no bitter after taste, which I do find with some of the cheaper coffee pods. They fit my pod machine perfectly and restrict the waterflow a lot more than my current supermarket pods so you get less water and more intense coffee espresso flavor. The used grinds are easy to remove afterwards so the pods can be added to the recycling bin. I really like them, and happy to recommend.

these are your typical original classic style nespresso pods suitable for most basic nespresso machines. the coffee is a strong dark intense flavour which is best suited for those who prefer the italian roast style coffees and like it smooth but strong. it's a good amount of pods and the box packaging make it easy to store them in a cupboard if you like to stock up ahead of time. for 36 pods i think £21 is pretty good value on a cost per cup basis.

Coffee is fine but not how I expected it to turn up. An assortment of packets and loose capsules in a brown box not great.
