Thermal Shutdown solved!
This unit will solve the GoPro heating issues. Both with the battery and the battery out running on USB power. Ran the camera for 90 minute at 2704 x 1520 240 fps. Without this fan typically the camera would have done a thermal shutdown after about 10 minutes. You can control the fan speed with this (available on Amazon)... "5V USB LED Dimmer Switch, 10-Speed Dimming, Female to Male, 2 Pack USB A Powered Dimmer for 5V Single Color LED Lights" available on Amazon." When you slow the fan down a bit the fan noise will be low enough so that audio is acceptable. !!!Can't recommend this unit high enough!!!

Decent GoPro Cooling Fan, But Loud and Limited
Alright, here’s the review based on everything you shared: This GoPro cooling fan accessory does exactly what it promises—keeps my GoPro from overheating during long shoots. I tested it for two to three hours, and it ran without any issues, which is great for my wedding videography work. However, the USB cord is way too short, making it tough to find a convenient power source depending on the setup. The biggest downside is the noise—this fan is loud, so you can’t rely on the GoPro as your primary audio source. It’s better suited for secondary camera angles where sound isn’t critical. They could definitely improve by making it quieter. Overall, it’s a solid solution with some flaws, so I gave it three out of five stars.

Worth It
I was skeptical, especially for the price but this was a good buy for me so far. It's well made, not cheap, leaving me confidence its going to last. So far no more overheating recording outside ball games in Florida in 4K. Yes there is fan noise, but there is a simple solution. You will see in the pics an external mic connected. It doesn't have to be anything fancy just connect a mic and clip it or sit it +6" away from the camera and it won't pick up the fan noise

Great for cooling bad on sound
Works great! Had a problem with my camera overheating no matter what I did. This keeps it's running no problem BUT the fan shrowd covers the mic so you can forget getting any good sound out of it. And it's bulky. That should go without saying but forget versatility. Tripods and stationary recording though is worth it. Depends on what you use it for. I have a podcast so it fills the need for a support cam but without sound that's all it is. Fan has multi speed and locks the camera in.

It's Kind of Okay (Not totally convinced about it.)
So I have been using this for a bit, and I have to say I am not sold on this item. Here is why: 1st off, if you need to access your camera screen, you have to take the unit off to get access to it. That is, if you don't have access to your app. 2nd, you can tell someone just 3d printed this and soldered some stuff together. Hey, I support creativity and small businesses, but it still feels a bit rough, and it's not exactly designed to transfer heat with the case, only with the fan they put into the casing itself. So be aware that you are going to need an external mic, or you will hear nothing but the fan running. 3rd, the wire for the camera has to be plugged in, and it is really short, so be prepared to have it tied to an extension cord. So it's not great for portability, unless you are planning to have an individual power bank to power the fan. 4th, the fan speed adjustment is very flimsy, and it's open to everything. So if you are recording in a workshop or even in a place where there is a possibility of dirt, that thing is getting wrecked internally. The speed adjustment came in with the USB male part bent at an angle from the case. Don't know if they designed it like that or what it just seems like poor construction. 5th, I have no idea if it has any waterproofing capability, but I am betting it doesn't, since how open everything is. I am just saying this because if you are using it outside and it starts raining or falls into the water, you are probably going to short the thing out. 6th, the fan noise level is very loud. Regardless of whether it's slow speed or high speed. That is why you will have to get an external mic. 7th, functionally, I think it works a little bit, but overall, you can probably adjust the camera settings so that you are lowering the risk of overheating. Also, most likely, if you are like me, you will end up recording segments and not one huge continuous video, which also reduces the chances of the camera overheating. So overall, I am not convinced this thing is good. It's a semi-neat thing to have, but I have had better luck recording at lower settings than actually using this item.

CAMCOOLER Cooler Fan works as advertized
The CAMCOOLER Cooler Fan works as advertised. Was experiencing considerable overheating issues with Go Pro 13, recording in warm/hot environment without adequate airflow. Since purchasing and using CAMCOOLER Cooler Fan with external power source, Go Pro 13 has not overheated and recorded for hours without issue.

Would you like your GoPro to NOT overheat every 20 minutes?
If you own a GoPro, you know it overheats. Well, not with this. Does exactly what it's advertised to do. Installs quickly, can be removed quickly. I routinely do ~1 hour recording sessions and have absolutely no issues, where the GoPro without the cooler would overheat every ~20 minutes. You will need a USB battery pack, but it doesn't need to be a big one. I use a 5,000mah pack, and it lasts 20+ recording sessions. HIGHLY recommended.

Noisy
Too loud even with an external microphone.
