RFID Signal Blocking Pouches (2 Pack)

Before getting my new car with key-less entry I didn't know the first thing about the tech involved or that I might need one of these things. After a bit of research I've added 'Faraday pouch' to my vocab and know about the possibility of nasty tea-leaves nicking my lovely new motor with a signal booster with the key in my pocket or house while I'm sleeping. Suffice to say Cloakmate Signal Blocking Pouch works as advertised and I can now sleep soundly! I know it works 'cos I've forgotten to take the key out of the pouch a few times when trying to open the car and nothing happens - when of course stood right next to the car and its sensor. Doh! Out comes the key and we are in business. So my spare key is safely stored in one of the pouches at home while the other is now a constant companion when out and about and I've quickly got in the habit of using it. The pouch is a perfect size for the car key on its own which fits easily - I don't have a big bunch of other keys to fit in - and is easy to get in and out. There's no faffing or fiddling required - just a flap secured by Velcro. I fits easily in trouser and jacket pockets and the manufacture is clean and smart and looks sturdy enough - time will tell. What more do you need? Very happy with this purchase.

Hi, I’ve heard a lot of stories about theft of keyless car so as one who got a keyless car i was suprised when i saw in the news and video they can really take your car using that device. So before its to late and regret in the end i decided to find a solution to that problem. And then i found this little pouch and start to read all the reviews and comments then i convinced myself to buy and try why not just for that price and then as soon as the package arrived i put my carkey inside and went outside standing in front my my car i was speechless my god this little pouch made my day. I really recommend this product to anyone who got the keyless car, this little pouch will feel you comfortable and safe. Thanks Dexter Mercado

A high quality product, at a very reasonable cost, which would deserve 5 Stars, except for a common design failing. Like most other Car Key Signal Blockers, I have tried; this one has one major defect. The internal RDIF mesh shield is directly exposed to placement and removal of the car keys. The consequence of this is that with moderate usage, the car keys, will wear down, or penetrate, the RDIF mesh shield, making it ineffective. Life of the Signal blocker could be extended by inserting a lining, to protect the shield from wear, and or damage due moderate usage. Like most other Car Key Signal Blockers, this one, although designed in the UK, was manufactured in China, possibly by an unskilled workforce, without knowledge of the importance of maintaining the completeness/integrity of the mesh shield. Hence, I recommend that you verify your car cannot be locked/Unlocked, or started, with your keys enclosed in the Car Key Signal Blocker I think that it is unlikely that radio frequency measurements are carried out to check the effectiveness of these Car Key Signal Blockers. I have tested the effectiveness of 4 of the Cloakmate Car Key Signal Blockers and found that all worked as expected. Given this, I can recommend this variant, provided measures are taken to reduce wear and tear of the RFID mesh shield

The order arrived promptly, as advertised, and the product is exactly as described in the text and photos. The pouches are made of a sturdy material and fasten closed well with velcro. I have used the two pouches for two different types of keyless fob (Lexus and Nissan) and in both cases the key is not detected at all, either outside or inside the car, even when pressed against the door. This is a simple solution to blocking the electrical wireless signal from a keyless fob. Whilst it may not be 100% effective against attack from someone with very sophisticated scanning equipment, the evidence I have seen - that the car cannot detect the presence of the fob when close by - gives me reassurance that the pouch does provide considerable protection.

Having become worried about keyless car theft I decided to buy these and I haven't been disappointed. They came speedily and there are two pouches so can keep the spare key safe as well. I immediately tried the product out and it works fine. I know it's for just for the car key fob but I have mine on my key case along with house keys etc. I didn't want to separate them unless I had to so I tried putting the fob into the pouch but leaving the top open. It still worked as long as the fob was put well towards the bottom. I am sure this wouldn't be what the manufacturer would recommend so it's just a hint for anyone like me doesn't want to separate their keys!

Ive bought other makes and had varying results as to claimed signal blocking capabilities . I bought a set of these and they do block your car key and mobile phone signals, so at least they seem to work fine. They are well made, not flimsy so will hopefully last coming in and out of your pockets or bag. Ive tested these while standing at my car door with the wireless key in them and they do block the signal fine also my mobile phone signal will not connect to the cars media centre while the phones enclosed in these pouches so again it seems to signal block efficiently. Good priced well made pouches that actually work.
