Just What I Needed - Great Product!
I was very tired of gas cans that either leaked while in use or whose "safety" nozzle was so safe that gas wouldn't flow. After reading a lot of reviews on the highest rated products on Amazon, I decided to spend the money for the Justrite Type II.All I can say is that this solved my problem - it works perfectly. For those who complain about the filling cap being sprung so that it has to be held open during filling -- yes, it does. It's a safety feature without which it might not meet regulations. In reality it is not a big deal. In fact, if it frustrates you, then I think you may need to relax! :)The can arrives without the nozzle attached. It attaches with two Phillips head screws. Make sure you tighten the screws fully. At first the connection leaked, so I tightened the screws, problem solved. I used a good cordless screwdriver to do this (the excellent Bosch PS31-2A) and the clutch made a perfect seal.Whether the Justrite is overpriced is a judgment call. For me it has solved the problems I had with all the useless products available in nearly every retail store, and with care I shouldn't need another can in my lifetime. Not having to continually buy inferior products, so this can actually saves me money and disappointment. One of my neighbours is Troy-Bilt warranty service provider and is retired from GM, Justrite were the standard cans used. The Justrite AccuFlow is highly recommended.

Better than the good old days
I hate those plastic gas cans. The twist-valves break easily, caps pop off when they swell due to temperature changes, tabs crack off, etc. I had one of those tip over in my attached garage and fill my house with gasoline fumes and decided enough was enough. I went from one local store to another to find an alternative. They had different brands, but all the same lousy construction or just variations on the same lousy construction. Then I saw the larger version of this can on Amazon and figured I'd give it a try. It's great. No leaks, no fuss trying to screw on a plastic cap or closing a valve, it's all automatic. It's hard to do it justice in an online description, but everyone who has put their hands on my gas can has gone out and ordered one. It's that good. The larger one, with it's 1" nozzle, fills my 2.5-gallon lawn tractor in short order. I use this one for my 2-cycle blower and weed-whacker. These are expensive, that's true, but totally worth it.

I've already promised to leave this gas can to my son in my will!
I don't know what happened in the laws that govern gas cans, but before this can, I could only buy pathetic cans with goofy (NOT) spill-proof plastic spouts that SPILLED GAS ALL OVER THE PLACE. I think this is a requirement of California's air quality laws. This gas can ROCKS. Imagine, a can with a flexible metal hose that, sorry if this sounds rude, inserts where you want it to. Very heavy duty. Where the hose connects with the can is where the included cork seal goes, preventing leaks (and, obviously, replaceable when you need it). This is the last gas can you'll ever need. I've already told my 16-year-old son that I plan to leave this can to him in my will -- it's that well made.

Amazing quality and engineering.
This an amazing little piece of great engineering and quality craftsmanship. You may think that 55 bucks is a lot to pay for a 2.5 gallon gas can. Wrong. Once you see it and understand what it is I just don't understand how this american made gas can can be made for only 55 dollars. This thing is so cool I bought one for my father-in-law who also appreciates well made, quality items. Super nice job Justrite!!

Good flexible and REPLACEABLE spout
Solid can. Tight openings. Good flexible and REPLACEABLE spout. This is really a great gas can.My grocery store offers a program where if you buy $100 worth of groceries, you get 10 cents off a gallon at local gas stations. The limit is 20 gallons at a time, though, and my car holds 20 gallons empty, so it never is totally empty. With this gas can I can get more of the cheap gas and bring it home with me to use for gas machines at home, and I don't smell gas in the car.

Pass it on to your grandkids
Don’t waste your money on plastic cans and funnels... spend the money and have something made with quality that will last the rest of your life. This is a nice can. I love not having to look for and use funnels.

Best gas can I ever bought.
So easy to fill. So easy and clean to dispense fuel. I am so glad I stopped using plastic gas cans. Not one drop of fuel wasted, and even better, zero spray and zero concern over exploding cans.

Built to last
America made, built to last for decades. Spent a little extra and stop replacing plastic crap gas cans every few years when the nozzle breaks or it deteriorates
